Financial technology (FinTech) has dramatically changed the way of banking and financial services. Computer programs and other technology which used to provide and enable financial services is named as FinTech. However, these services face several security and privacy issues while providing financial services to the users. These services and applications must be secured to enhance the acceptance and usability of these services among the users. The main aim of this research is to provide a policy framework to ensure the security and privacy of user information in financial technology, since FinTech applications and services carry quite sensitive data of its users. This policy framework provides a comprehensive set of policies to secure FinTech services. These policies must be implemented in each organization providing FinTech services.

In recent years the Internet of Things (IoT) has rapidly become a revolutionary technological invention causing significant changes to the way both corporate computing systems, and even household gadgets and appliances, are designed and manufactured. The aim of this chapter is to highlight the security and privacy issues that may affect the evolution of IoT technology. The privacy issues are discussed from customer perspectives: first, the IoT privacy concern where the privacy debates on IoT and the IoT privacy that reflected from users' perspective based on the examination of previous researches results. In addition, the different architectures for IoT are discussed. Finally, the chapter discusses the IoT security concern by collecting, analyzing and presenting the major IoT security concerns in the literature as well as providing some potential solutions to these concerns.

Smart Home is changing the way of today’s living. Technology is taking each and everything on internet, but when it is home than many considerations are there. Security and privacy is the major issue as far as life is considered. As per technical hazards issues could be, interoperability, integration, energy efficiency. These challenges are huge barriers in their applicability. Incredible work has been done to overcome the barriers. But still gaps are there. This paper is providing comprehensive information about available literature on above parameters and existing research gaps in the area. Findings of this paper can lead researchers to have research gaps in the security and privacy issues in smart home.

The city is transforming into the smart city using information and communication technology (ICT), and the major role in economic development is building an infrastructure to enable greater connectivity between citizen service, energy, economics, and government. A smart city can monitor the real-world scenario in real time and support the intelligent services to both locals and travelers. Due to urbanization, people move from village to city. Increase the population in city also causes an increase in vehicles. Here, parking the vehicle securely is a challenging problem. In a smart parking system, all the devices are connected to the internet. Hackers and third parties easily access the user data or sensitive data. Smart parking system application controls the traffic, air pollution, and city functions making it easy to park the vehicle and reduce accidents. Many of the problems arise in the security and privacy of the sensitive data. In this chapter, the authors discuss security and privacy issues in smart parking systems using IoT.

This epilogue presents a few closing thoughts about the impact of mobile technology on society at large. It argues that the future of mobile advertising depends on a bargain that consumers and firms need to strike with each other. Both sides will have to make some investments and offer some trust for this give-and-take relationship to prosper. Consumers will need to find better ways to strike a personal balance between their lives and mobile technology. They will need to make the choice about how much they let technology intrude and inform their lives. They will hold the key to how open or private they want to be with their data. But this does not relieve businesses of their responsibilities. They need to pay attention and take their roles very seriously in this ecosystem. They should surprise and impress consumers while helping them with their needs the way a butler or a concierge would. More importantly, they need to take data security and privacy issues seriously.

In our everyday lives, the IoT is everywhere. They are used for the monitoring and documentation of environmental improvements, fire safety and even other useful roles in our homes, hospitals and the outdoors. IoT-enabled devices that are linked to the internet transmit and receive a large amount of essential data over the network. This provides an opportunity for attackers to infiltrate IoT networks and obtain sensitive data. However, the risk of a loss of privacy and security could outweigh any of these benefits. Many tests have been carried out in order to solve these concerns and find a safer way to minimize or remove the effect of IoT technologies on privacy and security practices in order to protect them. The issue with IoT devices is that they have small output modules, making it impossible to adapt current protection methods to them. This constraint necessitates the presentation of lightweight algorithms that enable IoT devices. In this article, investigated the context and identify different safety, protection, and approaches for securing components of IoT-based ecosystems and systems, as well as evolving security solutions. In addition, several proposed algorithms and authentication methods in IoT were discussed in order to avoid various types of attacks while keeping the limitations of the IoT framework in mind. Also discuss some hardware security in IoT devices.

Medical Internet of Things, also well known as MIoT, is playing a more and more important role in improving the health, safety, and care of billions of people after its showing up. Instead of going to the hospital for help, patients’ health-related parameters can be monitored remotely, continuously, and in real time, then processed, and transferred to medical data center, such as cloud storage, which greatly increases the efficiency, convenience, and cost performance of healthcare. The amount of data handled by MIoT devices grows exponentially, which means higher exposure of sensitive data. The security and privacy of the data collected from MIoT devices, either during their transmission to a cloud or while stored in a cloud, are major unsolved concerns. This paper focuses on the security and privacy requirements related to data flow in MIoT. In addition, we make in-depth study on the existing solutions to security and privacy issues, together with the open challenges and research issues for future work.
