The purpose of this research was to apply an artificial intelligence approach to improve the efficiency of design pattern selection used in the development of object-oriented software. Design patterns provide a potential solution to the limitations occurring with traditional software design approaches. Current methods of design pattern selection tend to be intuitive, and based on the experience of the individual software engineer. This expertise is very specialized and frequently unavailable to many software development organizations. A prototype expert system was developed in order to automate this process of selecting suitable patterns to be applied to the design problem under consideration. It guides the designer through the pattern selection process through inquiry regarding the nature of the design problem. The prototype system also provides the capabilities to browse patterns, view the relationship between patterns, and generate code based on the pattern selected. The routine application of such a system is viewed as a means to improve the productivity of software development by increasing the use of accepted design patterns.

Software design is a basic plan of all elements in the software, how they relate to each other in such a way that they meet the user requirements. In software development process, software design phase is an important phase as it gives a plan of what to do and how to do it during the implementation phase. As the technology is evolving and people's needs in the technological field are increasing, the development of software is becoming more complex. To make the development process somewhat easy, it is always better to have a plan which is followed throughout the process. In this way, many problems can be solved in the design phase, for which a number of tools and techniques are present. One is known as Design Patterns. In software engineering, a design pattern is a general solution to commonly occurring problems in software design. A design pattern isn't a finished design that can be transformed directly into code.

Object Oriented Software Development (OOSD) is a design technique that is used before the development and design of a software. This design method makes the system appears as a collection of objects to communicate with other objects by passing messages. The Model-View-Controller (MVC) has been inherited from Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with the integration of Graphical User Interface (GUI) and interactive program execution. The MVC is very useful for developing Interactive and Dynamic Web Applications and iOS. With MVC, developers can trust on design patterns that are widely accepted as solutions for recurring problems. MVC can be used to develop flexible, reusable and modular Software. Applying the MVC design pattern in object-oriented Software development a flexible, reliable, modular and scalable website can be built. So, it’s necessary for every developer to have the knowledge of software development using MVC design pattern.

The subject of study in the article is software development processes using design patterns. The aim is to improve the quality of modern software development projects through the use of experience and knowledge, to build software subsystems that are focused on infrastructure and work with an external client. Objectives: to review the methodology, programming paradigms and the possibility of their application at the design and coding stages of the software development life cycle; development of the concept of using design patterns in software design as knowledge available for reuse, propose an approach to the practical implementation of design patterns to node.js projects. The models used are the Composite design pattern, the Chain of responsibility design pattern. The used methodologies are object-oriented programming, as the most common programming paradigm, a unified modeling language UML for displaying the structure of design patterns. The following results are obtained. Modern methodologies and design paradigms are considered, a classification is formed in the form of a tree structure with a division into declarative and imperative subspecies, it is concluded that within the framework of the study we will use an object-oriented methodology as the most common design paradigm. An example of building an information system of the node.js project is considered. Analyzed the main errors that arise when developing and writing code for working with an external client. The elements of the node.js project and the concepts of structuring their relationship with existing design patterns are considered. An example of a practical implementation of a node.js project and its relationship with the Composite and Chain of responsibility design patterns is considered. In this connection, the work provides the structure of these templates. Findings. The scientific novelty of the results obtained is as follows: the model of design patterns was further developed through their use in the concept of building a node.js application, which makes it possible to improve the quality of interaction between the project team and reduce its execution time.

Since the mid to late 1990’s, object-oriented software design patterns have proven to be a powerful tool in support of software design and product management. However, the usefulness of the methodology need not be restricted to the technical domain alone. In fact, the design pattern methodology represents a powerful tool that can also be used in support of it management at a business level. In this paper, we discuss the design pattern methodology, provide an example of how the methodology could be implemented to solve a business problem, the multivariate vector map (mvm), and then apply the mvm pattern to the problem of choosing an it outsourcing strategy as a means to demonstrate its effectiveness to it managers and to it outsourcing vendors

Design patterns provide reusable solutions for recurring design problems. They constitute an important tool for improving software quality. However, correct usage of design patterns depends to a large extent on the designer. Design patterns often include models that describe the suggested solutions, while other aspects of the patterns are neglected or described informally only in text. Furthermore, design pattern solutions are usually described in an object-oriented fashion that is too close to the implementation, masking the essence of and motivation behind a particular design pattern. We suggest an approach to modeling the different aspects of design patterns and semi-automatically utilizing these models to improve software design. Evaluating our approach on commonly used design patterns and a case study of an automatic application for composing, taking, checking, and grading analysis and design exams, we found that the suggested approach successfully locates the main design problems modeled by the selected design patterns.

An emerging technology with a secure and a decentralized nature, blockchain has the potential to transform conventional practices in an efficient and dynamic manner. However, migrating to blockchain can be challenging due to the complexity of its infrastructure and processes. The complexity of building applications on blockchain has been highlighted by many studies, thus stressing the need to investigate practical solutions further. A commonly known software engineering concept, software design pattern contributes to the acceleration of software development. It offers a holistic reusable solution for commonly occurring problems in a given context. It helps to identify problems that occur repetitively and describes best practices to address them. The present study is one of the first investigations to inquire into design patterns for blockchain application. Seeking to reduce the complexity in understanding and building applications on blockchain, this paper identifies a design pattern elicitation framework from similar blockchain applications. Next, it provides a demonstration of the Proof of Integrity (PoI) pattern elicited from two different applications on the blockchain. The applicability of the pattern is evaluated by building a blockchain application to verify the integrity of the academic certificates and by explaining how this integrity has been achieved empirically.

Nowadays, object-oriented design is the trend of software design patterns, and the database connection pool is one of the important research topics. The paper firstly describes the basic principle of connection pool under traditional, tomcat and hibernate modes. Based on that, a new connection pool method is proposed, and these four methods are experimentally simulated in java language at last. The comparative analysis has verified that the presented connection pool owns the optimum access time and it can greatly improve the access efficiency of database.
