Adoption and Success of e-HRM in a Cloud Computing Environment

This qualitative study examines the digitisation of HRM in a cloud-based environment. The influencing factors for the transformation from conventional HRM to eHRM are examined with a special focus on the success factors from a strategic to the operational level. Additionally, an in-depth analysis of the currently existing and new HR metrics which emerge during the transformation takes place. The study is based on interviews with HR experts with extensive experience in transforming and working with the new technology. Active participation of the HR department is relevant for the success of the digital transformation HRM project. HR metrics have not been applied extensively so far and are used less for controlling and optimizing HR processes. New metrics would increase the acceptance of the new technology and thus the success of the overall HR transformation. The main contribution is related to the field of HR software adoption of cloud-based solutions.

Cloud computing has emerged as a powerful new technology. The processing and computation power embedded in the cloud technology is not only flexible but also infinitely scalable and cost effective. Service oriented architecture (SOA) is a perfect stage for cloud computing. SOA has allowed customers and organizations to achieve cloud computing and reap its benefits that would not have been possible through any other architecture. This paper discusses the concept and importance of service oriented cloud computing by highlighting possible architectures, their benefits and critical success factors.

This study aims to extend the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in the context of using Cloud Computing. The hypothesized model is validated empirically using a sample collected from 307 valid responses. It synthesizes the Information System Success model and the TAM, to explain and predict the users' attitudes toward using Cloud Computing. It offers Cloud Computing Acceptance Model (CCAM) to be used for predicting the future implementation and actual usage of innovative business solutions. To examine the reliability and validity of the measurement model, the confirmatory factor analysis was performed whereas multiple regression analysis was conducted to evaluate the associations between the constructs in the proposed model. It concludes with the essentiality of establishing stronger organisational culture and building trust between users and new technology. Moreover, more attention to system and service quality is needed to assist users perceptions toward Cloud Computing usefulness and its ease of use which are crucial to for its success.

SummaryObjectives: The main aims of the paper comprise the characterization and examination of the potential approaches regarding interoperability. This includes openEHR, SNOMED, IHE, and Continua as combined interoperability approaches, possibilities for their incorporation into the eHealth environment, and identification of the main success factors in the field, which are necessary for achieving required interoperability, and consequently, for the successful implementation of eHealth projects in general.Methods: The paper represents an in-depth analysis regarding the potential application of openEHR, SNOMED, IHE and Continua approaches in the development and implementation process of eHealth in Slovenia. The research method used is both exploratory and deductive in nature. The methodological framework is grounded on information retrieval with a special focus on research and charting of existing experience in the field, and sources, both electronic and written, which include interoperability concepts and related implementation issues.Results: The paper will try to answer the following inquiries that are complementing each other:1. Scrutiny of the potential approaches, which could alleviate the pertinent interoperability issues in the Slovenian eHealth context.2. Analyzing the possibilities (requirements) for their inclusion in the construction process for individual eHealth solutions.3. Identification and charting the main success factors in the interoperability field that critically influence development and implementation of eHealth projects in an efficient manner.Conclusions: Provided insights and identified success factors could serve as a constituent of the strategic starting points for continuous integration of interoperability principles into the healthcare domain.
