This paper presents a prototypical, Web based data conversion framework and its underlying data representation principles which allow conversions from and to any data format. Therefore, a data model is proposed which allows storing values of arbitrary types, including inter-data dependencies and meta information. Furthermore, an Extensible Markup Language (XML) based model to describe data formats is provided which allows specifying programs to convert data represented in existing formats both from and to the proposed data model. It will be shown that these programs are Turing complete, thus allowing the same arbitrarily complex conversions which are possible with Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) or the C programming language. Finally, the components of a prototypical Web based implementation in form of a validator, a data converter and a data generator are described. In combination with a data editor, parts of this prototypical implementation are already employed in several use cases in the industry and other research projects to transform data between different formats.

Abstract Motivation Expanding research highlights the importance of guanine quadruplex structures. Therefore, easy-accessible tools for quadruplex analyses in DNA and RNA molecules are important for the scientific community. Results We developed a web version of the G4Hunter application. This new web-based server is a platform-independent and user-friendly application for quadruplex analyses. It allows retrieval of gene/nucleotide sequence entries from NCBI databases and provides complete characterization of localization and quadruplex propensity of quadruplex-forming sequences. The G4Hunter web application includes an interactive graphical data representation with many useful options including visualization, sorting, data storage and export. Availability and implementation G4Hunter web application can be accessed at: http://bioinformatics.ibp.cz. Supplementary information Supplementary data are available at Bioinformatics online.

AbstractWe describe a framework to support the implementation of web-based systems intended to manipulate data stored in relational databases. Since the conceptual model of a relational database is often specified as an entity-relationship (ER) model, we propose to use the ER model to generate a complete implementation in the declarative programming language Curry. This implementation contains operations to create and manipulate entities of the data model, supports authentication, authorization, session handling, and the composition of individual operations to user processes. Furthermore, the implementation ensures the consistency of the database w.r.t. the data dependencies specified in the ER model, i.e., updates initiated by the user cannot lead to an inconsistent state of the database. In order to generate a high-level declarative implementation that can be easily adapted to individual customer requirements, the framework exploits previous works on declarative database programming and web user interface construction in Curry.

ppXML is an information infrastructure that enables and facilitates meaningful information and knowledge management within and interoperability between web services (applications) for Platform Product Development (PPD) — a formidable approach to agile product development (APD) for mass customization (MC). There are four folds of meanings in ppXML. Firstly, ppXML represents a set of constructs that are consistent with concepts and methods of Platform Product Development for Mass Customization. Secondly, derived from XML (eXtensible Markup Language) as a sublanguage, ppXML is a standard and yet extensible modeling language dedicated to the modelling of products and product platforms for PPD web services. Thirdly, ppXML serves as a product platform repository and a PPD web service registry, together with a set of online facilities for data representation and transformation between different components and parties involved in the web services. Finally, ppXML is a proof-of-theconcept online PPD portal, incorporating some essential web-based Decision Support Systems (DSS) for product platform development and product platform customization. This paper presents an overview of ppXML together with its background and underlying philosophy.

Abstract A data model for kinematic structure of mechanisms and its coding principle are proposed, based on the topological graph and contract graph. In the model every basic chain is mapped by a code of 5 decimal digits and a mechanism is mapped by a set of code of basic chains. The model occupies minimal memory, and contains a complete set of useful primary parameters of structure, and significantly reduce computer time for isomorphism identification.

ThermoML is an Extensible Markup Language (XML)-based new IUPAC standard for storage and exchange of experimental, predicted, and critically evaluated thermophysical and thermochemical property data. The basic principles, scope, and description of all structural elements of ThermoML are discussed. ThermoML covers essentially all thermodynamic and transport property data (more than 120 properties) for pure compounds, multicomponent mixtures, and chemical reactions (including change-of-state and equilibrium reactions). Representations of all quantities related to the expression of uncertainty in ThermoML conform to the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM). The ThermoMLEquation schema for representation of fitted equations with ThermoML is also described and provided as supporting information together with specific formulations for several equations commonly used in the representation of thermodynamic and thermophysical properties. The role of ThermoML in global data communication processes is discussed. The text of a variety of data files (use cases) illustrating the ThermoML format for pure compounds, mixtures, and chemical reactions, as well as the complete ThermoML schema text, are provided as supporting information.

Abstract Researchers and materials engineers require a greater understanding of the problems and solutions that emerge when integrating composite materials data with computer technology so that utilitarian composite materials databases can be developed to effectively and efficiently support analysis and design software. Composite materials constitute a representational challenge due to their composition and use. However, this paper suggests that a conceptual composite material data model and application software interfaces must be developed to support the dissemination and use of composite materials data. This paper primarily serves to analyze several of the problems facing developers of composite materials databases, evolving from the complexity of the materials themselves and from the current lack of testing and data representation standards. Without a clear understanding of the scope and nature of these problems, there is no possibility of designing concise yet comprehensive composites data models, yet we feel that such an understanding is presently lacking. In addition, an effort is made to present possible solutions to these difficulties being suggested and/or implemented both by the authors and by other researchers in the field. Such an effort provides a firm foundation upon which future research may be based.

The store Lingga Tires is a trademark unit engaged in the sale of the tires. The store Lingga Tires only rely on the conventional sales namely the subscriber must come into the store and doing transaction at the store. This makes the customer became less know the products in the market and the existing promotion. The store Lingga Tires want to provide a satisfactory services with want to deliver innovation and convenience for customers. To store the Lingga Tires need a means to support the sales transaction and media promotions effective means of implementing the method Customer Relationship Management (CRM) web-based. CRM is one of the means to build a good relationship with customers and to acquire new customers. Web-based Sales information system is built by the method of software development waterfall , the language of PHP programming technique, MySQL database as data storage and testing method using the black box & white box testing this system can be used by the administrator, customers and direction. The administrator is the person who manages the whole system. Customers can make your reservation, payment confirmation and have points shopping. The direction of instructions view report, this system is expected to be a solution to overcome the problems and to be able to increase sales in the Store Lingga Tires.Key Words: Information System,Sale,CRM, Web, Store Lingga Tires

The data processing systems is a very necessary way to manipulate a data into useful information. The system makes data storage, adding, changing, scheduling to reporting well integrated, so that it can help parts to exchange information and make decisions quickly. The problems faced by GKPI Pal Merah Jambi are currently still using Microsoft Office Word and in disseminating information such as worship schedules, church activities and other worship routines through paper and wall-based worship services. To print worship and report reports requires substantial operational funds, in addition to data collection and storage there are still deficiencies including recording data on the book, difficulty in processing large amounts of data and stored in only one special place that is passive. Based on the above problems, the author is interested in conducting research with the title Designing Data Processing Systems for Web-Based Churches in the GKPI Pal Merah Church in Jambi. The purpose of this study is to design and produce a data processing system for the church. Using this system can facilitate data processing in the GKPI Pal Merah Jambi Church. This study uses a waterfall development method, a method that provides a systematic and sequential approach to system needs analysis, design, implementation and unit testing, system testing and care. Applications built using the web with MySQL DBMS database, PHP programming language and Laravel.
