Abstract This paper will use analytic hierarchy process to evaluate abnormal vibration of diesel engine in operation. The possible abnormal vibration factors of diesel engine in use are further analyzed to ensure the normal operation of diesel engine in use. Combined with analytic hierarchy process, the hierarchical structure model is determined, and the problems are analyzed from different angles to reduce the influence of subjective factors.

Relatively independent evaluation parameters are selected from many parameters through pedigree clustering.Learning the analytic hierarchy process (ahp) and entropy weight method can determine the weight, and at the same time to understand the error of the analytic hierarchy process (ahp) and entropy weight method is large, so the combination of the subjective and objective weight obtained by the two methods, using the improved entropy weight-ahp method to determine the weight. The improved weight calculation method has a clear hierarchical structure, which not only considers the influence of subjective and objective factors, but also makes full use of the weight information in the hierarchical structure. Considering the uncertainty of information, gray relation is adopted to deal with the data, so as to make maintenance rules.

Based on the analysis of the coal mine accidents dangerous sources and essential factors of occurrence mechanism, the coal mine accidents causation model is built by combing with system security theory and dangerous sources theory. This paper analyzes a large number of accidents causation factors and screens the main factors; finally the coal mine accidents hierarchical structure model is constructed. What’s more, combined with examples, the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is applied to evaluate the accidents causation analysis.

To solve the problem of partnership choice for iron and steel logistics alliance, a method to choose cooperative partners based on Analytic Hierarchy Process and Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation was proposed. AHP was used to construct the hierarchical structure of partner evaluating indicator and determine the corresponding weight. Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation was adopted to assess and choose partners. For verifying the method, a logistics company was analyzed as an example. The results show that this method may reduce the influence of subjective factors on the partner choice, enhance the accuracy and reliability of partner choice, and strengthen the competitiveness of iron and steel logistics alliance.

This paper proposes an evaluation framework of input elements in developing sustainable manufacturing (SM) initiatives using the hierarchical structure of sustainability indicators set developed by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (US NIST) and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Determining priority input elements in the development process is essential to ensure that SM initiatives are responsive to the demands of sustainability at firm level. This evaluation exposes a challenge due to the multi-criteria nature of the problem and the presence of subjective criteria with limited available information on their measurement systems. The use of AHP in the context of the hierarchical structure of the US NIST sustainability indicators set provides a comprehensive and promising approach in identifying fundamental inputs in developing effective programs and initiatives that address sustainability. The contribution of this work lies on presenting a framework that could guide decision-makers, in a way that is simple and comprehensive, in their attempt to promote sustainability. Results and implications are reported in this work.

In this paper, it is on the basis of gaining the main influence factors of durability for in-service bridge, using recursive hierarchical structure of analytic hierarchy process, constructing the assessment models about durability for in-service bridge in bottom, middle and top levels, combining with weight modify technology and fuzzy mathematics theory, the assessment results durability state is gained finally. It can discriminate using actuality of bridge effectively, and it has been a good guide for maintenance of bridge by practical test.

Many companies recently have been choosing information technology (IT) outsourcing in response to complicated information systems and various internal requirements. In order to monitor and maintain a high quality of IT outsourcing vendors’ services, it is necessary to develop a system to evaluate IT outsourcing customer satisfaction. The system can be used as a tool for choosing IT outsourcing providers. Through the literature reviews and expert interviews, we propose the evaluation system of the IT outsourcing customer satisfaction. Using AHP (analytic hierarchy process) technique, attributes associated with customer satisfaction in IT outsourcing environments are then rated in terms of their importance. The customer satisfaction evaluation system is applied to IT outsourcing service receivers in Korea to demonstrate its practical implications.

It is not easy to evaluate the reputation of generating companies as the influence factors are multiple, complex, and partly subjective. A fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process method (AHP) with a set of power industry relevant criteria is applied in this paper. The fuzzy triangular number is introduced to characterize the subjective judgment of experts, and AHP is used to deal with the multiple evaluation factors, and to calculate the relevant weights with the aid of the arithmetic laws of fuzzy triangular number. Numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of this model.
