Compaction piles is one of the conventional methods for foundation treatment in collapsible loess, there are very few research results about soil compaction effect between piles when forming the piles. Firstly, the stress field and displacement field of soil around compaction piles are elastic-plastic analyzed on the basis of the cavity expansion theory; then a series of FLAC 3D numerical simulations were performed to evaluate the treatment effect of the compaction pile composite foundation. The result shows that all bearing capacity has improved, and quicklime compaction pile composite foundation has been increased remarkably. It embodies the correctness of the computation theory. And the feasibility of the compaction piles composite foundation on collapsible loess area is further proved.

In the collapsible loess of Midwest China, quicklime compaction pile composite foundation has been widely used in practical engineering. Firstly,the calculation method of quicklime compaction pile composite foundation is analyzed; then the influencing factors of bearing capacity for quicklime compaction pile composite foundation was researched on the basis of the character about soil compaction effect between piles with the quicklime expanding when absorbing water from the soil; lastly, the calculation method was used in practical engineering, the results can be used to reference in reliability design application of composite foundation.

The collapsible loess ground treatment methods include dynamic compaction, soil replacement cushion method, lime-soil compaction pile composite foundation, pile foundation, etc. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages. The bearing capacity of collapsible loess is not lower, it is non-soft soil. The purpose of the collapsible loess ground treatment is to eliminate the collapsible at the most, few to increase the capacity and improve the heterogeneity of the foundation. In this paper, the collapsible loess foundation treatment methods are been compacted from the technical and economic factors. And the key issues of the collapsible loess ground treatment methods are discussed.

By the engineering background of Datong-Xian Passenger Dedicated Railway Line passing through the collapsible loess area, four representative test sections such as roadbed-bridge transition section, roadbed-culvert transition section, ordinary and special embankment section was selected. Different pile parameter and pile plane layout and subgrade filling measure has been taken according to the different test sections. At the same time, the correspondence of settlement monitoring project was carried out. After the long time monitoring, by the hyperbolic curve and logarithmic method predicting, the long-term settlement has been predicted. The monitoring results and the curve fitting shows that the settlement and the foundation treatment schemes with subgrade filling measurement meet the design requirement also provided reference and reference for other engineering.

To study the effect of the lime-soil compaction pile on the collapsible loess foundation and the influence of water-heat-force characteristics on the soil during compaction, the field test of lime-soil compaction pile treatment of collapsible loess foundation is carried out. This paper monitors the process of soil temperature, water, and soil pressure change in the process of pile forming. According to the macroprocess and micromechanism of lime-soil compaction pile treatment of collapsible loess foundation, the qualitative law of water-heat-force change in the process of pile forming is obtained. Meanwhile, the influence of soil damage is introduced in the process of compaction expansion. The model of pore expansion under linear damage conditions in the plastic zone is established. The formula of radial stress distribution under damage conditions is given. The influence of different damage factors on the expansion process is analyzed.
