This paper probes into the design of greenhouse environment monitoring system based on S3C2410 ARM microprocessor. It focuses on the development of Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications based on Qt/Embedded and the Linux driver for temperature and humidity sensor in the environment monitoring system. The use of GSM module achieves the safe warning function. By porting Web server and using CGI technology, the system realizes the remote monitoring well. The test results show that the system can accurately capture and display temperature, humidity and light intensity of the greenhouse, provides a friendly human-computer interface, is easy to use and has good application prospects.

In order to improve the deficiency of environmental monitoring system in real-time, remote monitoring and other aspects, this paper designs an environmental monitoring system based on MCU and GSM network. It designs the struture diagram of the system and analyzes the procedure of data collection and transmission. This system achieves net control and long-distance control of the environmental monitoring.

This paper describes a study in which Web style guides were characterized, compared to traditional human-computer interface (HCI) style guides, and evaluated against findings from HCI reviews of web pages and applications. Findings showed little consistency among the 21 Web style guides assessed, with 75% of recommendations appearing in only one style guide. While there was some overlap, only 20% of Web-relevant recommendations from traditional style guides were found in Web style guides. Web style guides emphasized common look and feel, information display, and navigation issues, with little mention of many issues prominent in traditional style guides such as help, message boxes, and data entry. This difference is reinforced by other results showing that Web style guides address Web information-only pages with much greater success than web-based control enabling features, like buttons and entry fields. It is concluded that while the WWW represents a unique graphical user interface (GUI) environment, development of Web style guides has been less rigorous, with issues associated with web-based control enabling features neglected.

A mobile remote data monitoring center based on Android operating system is developed for the water environment monitoring system via wireless sensor network (WSN). The monitoring center collects the sensors data from the WSN based on C/S mode. The SQLite is adopted in database module to achieve high memory speed and efficient operation management. Dynamic graphical displays are accomplished to show the topology of the WSN, the state of the nodes and the real-time and historical water environment parameters of the sensor nodes. The experiments show that the software of water environment remote monitoring system, based on mobile devices of Android operating system, can conveniently satisfy the requirements of data collecting and monitoring for water environment monitoring system based on WSN.

This paper studies environmental information monitoring and put forward structure scheme of embedded environment monitoring system based on Ethernet. Using C/S structure network design, the client site monitor nodes, real-time collect environmental information data and local preservation, through the Ethernet upload information to the server. Monitoring nodes are controlled by LPC1766 chip, the chip manage the node’s data acquisition, storage and transmission. Using μC/OS-II embedded real-time operating system as the client software platform, the experiment test results show that the system can effectively implement environment monitoring.

The previous measuring methods have the disadvantages of big workload, inaccuracy, high expenses and so on. A set of remote monitoring system that monitors soil moisture is developed by configuration software. This system makes online monitoring soil moisture, dynamic display of real-time data, historical data query and remote access come true. The test results in Haikou show that the system not only meets the requirements of monitoring soil moisture, but also is featured with good stability, accurate data and data sharing. It can be applied in many fields when changing the necessary sensors. The system is scalable and low-cost.

Environment monitoring system in industrial area and Safety of workers is system to monitor the pollution inside the factories and provide safety place for the workers and uses Wi-Fi to transfer the data to the control room. The main objective of the project is to monitor the  pollution  which comes from factories to protect the environment and workers inside factories are used to Measure the CO Content and getting a message through GSM the Value is transferred when it is more than the threshold. It also uses monitor the temperature and display on LCD, when the value more than the standard value by getting SMS on the GSM and Buzzer on. It also measures the PH level of the water and display the values on the LCD. These values of humidity is displayed on LCD. One of the specific function of this system is it by Count the number of workers who are entry or leaving from the factory. A wireless System is used to Transfer these data (temperature and IR) to remote monitoring station.

The requirements of environment monitoring system for solid booster of shipboard missile were analyzed, and the scheme of environment monitoring system based on microcontroller and MEMS sensor was present. The hardware units and typical hardware circuits were given. According to the circuits, the PCB board was designed, and the prototype of environment monitoring system was made and tested. It was shown by the test results the designed system can be used for solid booster environment monitoring.

In order to reduce costs and improve crop yields effectively, a greenhouse environment monitoring system based on ZigBee and GPRS technology is designed. In the system, ZigBee wireless sensor module is used for data acquisition of soil moisture, precipitation, nitrogen concentration, temperature and barometric pressure data etc. The information is sent to a remote monitoring center through GPRS, Instructions is regulated and take corresponding measures according to the received information. The system can collect and monitor the parameters of the greenhouse environment at a real time. This has important implications for the development of agriculture automation and agricultural production levels.
