With regard to the disadvantages in maintenance support of fire control system , such as single function, poor versatility, low in test efficiency as well as poor reliability, a fault diagnostic test equipment is developed based on Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and expert system. The fault tree is constructed with the failure of fire control system as top event. Then the qualitative analysis of fault tree is performed. The embedded equipment and industrial processing computer (IPC) are used in the design of hardware which is based on modular concept. The software of fault test equipment is modular and open-source and developed by LabWindows/CVI. In addition, if consists of multiple modules, such as system test, fault diagnosis, data management, self-test and others. Database platform of Oracle and expert system are combined in the storage of test and diagnosis result as well as the inference and troubleshooting of system fault. This work indicates that FTA is an effective mean in fire control system fault diagnostic equipment.

In order to promote the performance measurement technique of the diffusion vacuum pumps, one full-automatic test equipment was newly developed and patented. The control system is the core of the test equipment and its reliability analysis is necessary. The structure and the characteristics of the test equipment are introduced in paper. The fault tree of the test equipment is set up and illustrated in detail. Based on fault tree analysis, the reliability designs of the hardware and software of the test equipment are carried out.

In this paper, a fault diagnosis method for spacecraft based on telemetry data mining and fault tree analysis was proposed. Decision trees are constructed from the history telemetry data of the spacecraft, and are used to classify the current data which is unknown whether it is fault. If there is a fault, the fault tree method will be used to analyze the fault reason and the impact on the spacecraft system. This method can effectively solve the problem of diagnostic knowledge acquisition. We design and construct a fault diagnosis expert system for spacecraft based on this diagnosis method. An experiment is presented to prove the effectiveness and practicality of the expert system.

The analysis is a method to use the intrinsic link between things to reasonably infer the results of the unknown things, we can use Benz internal structure and the intrinsic link to analyze failure step by step to get an accurate diagnosis purpose, and the purpose of the paper is connecting the Mercedes-Benz automotive fault diagnostic to interpret the fault tree analysis and waveform analysis.

At present, the status of the monitoring of computerized numerical control machine tools is still in the initial stage, and there is no uniform standard for fault early warning and diagnosis of machine tools. A standardized and comprehensive machine tool condition monitoring method based on energy fault tree analysis is proposed. The power, current and temperature inside the numerical control system and the signal of the external vibration sensor are collectively referred to as energy. A new energy fault tree is used to identify the location of the fault. At the same time, the client of computerized numerical control system internal information collection and analysis is developed. The characteristic frequency of each key component is analysed by theoretical mechanics, and an overall monitoring method is proposed to improve the monitoring efficiency. Finally, the reliability of the monitoring method is verified by experiments. The surface roughness of the parts is reduced by approximately 50%, which lays the foundation for the application of the engineering.

Aiming at the problems existing in maintenance of flight simulator, considering characteristics of expert system, the architecture and fault diagnosis methods of flight simulator, the structure and key realization technology for flight simulator fault diagnosis expert system are studied; the flight simulator fault diagnosis expert system design proposal is completed. Research on transforming from fault tree pattern to rule and diagnosis knowledge representing are emphasized, expert system knowledge base is constructed by means of frame plus production knowledge representing method, then certainty and rule based backward chaining inference engine with depth-first and heuristic search mechanism is designed, the system diagnosis flow and inferring flow are also developed in this paper. Finally the expert system is tested by a fault solving demonstration.
