An improved correlation matching algorithm is proposed in order to overcome some shortcomings of detecting the position of object accurately. A tracking algorithm with normalized cross correlation is introduced. In order to enhance the match speed, we have adopted pyramid search algorithm. The experimental results show that the algorithm has characteristics including automatic recognition of the object; permitting tracking and prediction when the object become shaded; the algorithm makes adaptive decision of varied object during the process of tracking.

In order to improve the stability of target tracking under occlusion conditions,on the basis of researching some target tracking algorithms, this paper presents an algorithm based on MCD correlation matching, which combines multi sub-templates matching and target movement prediction. Besides, for occlusion characteristics, corresponding template matching criterions and updating methods are put forward. Experimental results show that, comparing with the single template method which updating frame by frame, the proposed algorithm has a certain anti-occlusion ability with better stability and continuity of target tracking under occlusion conditions.

Using logical criterion based on the characteristics of binary image, the normalized cross-correlation algorithm is improved. First, the binary of gray image is carried out. The target and the background are made a distinction between 0 and 1. Second, through the logic correlation matching, two images of the same location value equal to 1, otherwise 0. Finally, the correlation coefficient is calculated. The experimental results show that the improved normalized cross-correlation algorithm can speed up the matching, without affecting the accuracy of the matching.

Based on Mie scattering and Monte Carlo ray tracing method, the transmission process of light in the remote phosphor film is described and the optical model of red and green laminated phosphor films is constructed. The photochromic properties of the phosphor films were studied by TM-30-15 method proposed by the North American Lighting Association. The investigation discloses that the normalized cross correlation of single-layer phosphor film spectral power distribution between the simulation and experimental results is about 99%, and the deviation of color coordinates is within 0.01. Based on the monochrome phosphor optical model, we establish bicolor optical model of red and green laminated phosphor film layers to form white light and can predict its color performance. The experimental results show that the normalized cross correlation of laminated phosphor film spectral power distribution between the simulation and experiment is about 97%, and the optical model of red and green laminated phosphor film can accurately predict the index Rf and Rg. When the red and green phosphor mass ratio is 0.05:0.5, the simulated color is optimal, Rf reaches 90, and Rg reaches 100, whose corresponding experimental values are Rf=90, Rg=101.

Target tracking algorithm mean-shift and kalman filter does well in tracking target. However, mean-shift algorithm may not do well in tracking the target which the size of target is changing gradually. Although some scholars put forward by 10% of the positive and negative incremental to scale adaptive,the algorithm can not be applied to track the target which gradually becomes bigger. In this paper, we propose registration corners of the target of the two adjacent frames, then calculate the distance ratio of registration corners.Use the distance ratio to determine the target becomes larger or smaller. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method performs better compared with the recent algorithms.

This paper proposed target image in a subpixel level matching algorithm for binocular CCD ranging, which is based on the principle of binocular CCD ranging. In the paper, firstly, we introduced the ranging principle of the binocular ranging system and deduced a binocular parallax formula. Secondly, we deduced the algorithm which was named improved cross-correlation matching algorithm and cubic surface fitting algorithm for target images matched, and it could achieve a subpixel level matching for binocular CCD ranging images. Lastly, through experiment we have analyzed and verified the actual CCD ranging images, then analyzed the errors of the experimental results and corrected the formula of calculating system errors. Experimental results showed that the actual measurement accuracy of a target within 3 km was higher than 0.52%, which meet the accuracy requirements of the high precision binocular ranging.
