Aimed at ultra-low permeability reservoir, the large natural outcrop model has been made for researching the oil reservoirs porous flow law deeply, and the inverted nine-spot equilateral well pattern also has been designed which is the commonest well patter during the oilfield exploitation. The flow fields have been measured during the experiment in different displacing period (0.3PV, 0.6PV and 1PV). The research shows that fluid flow has obvious directivity, and it strongly affected by heterogeneity of the reservoir. In addition, the regions between the edge production wells are much more difficult to be exploited.

The study research the productivity formula in low permeability reservoir with vertical wells combined with fracturing well of the five point rectangular pattern, seven spot pattern, nine spot pattern, as well as the productivity of anti-nine rhombus fractured vertical well mixed pattern, and to which of the five-point rectangular pattern and the law rectangular fracturing well pattern optimization analysis. The analysis revealed widening well spacing, narrow row spacing, so that the shape factor well network within a certain range, can improve the development effectiveness, and when length of the crack and area of well spacing were given, can determine the length and width of rectangular pattern.

The experiment study effect of injection different kinds of water on extra low permeability reservoir of Yushulin Oilfield. In the condition of actual temperature and pressure of the reservoir, through the experimental study the effect of injection different kinds of water on extra low permeability core. Experiments include injecting clean water, injecting clean water with scale inhibitor, injecting traditional treated sewage, injecting deep treated sewage, injecting deep treated sewage with scale inhibitor. The experimental results show that: Long term injecting clean water and clean water with scale inhibitor are harmless to core; Injecting traditional treated sewage, high content of oil and impurity bring injection pressure go up, the permeability of core down sharply; Injecting deep treated (aeration + flotation (PAC+PAM) + filtration + ultra filtration (FeCl3)) sewage must be added scale inhibitor, otherwise injection pressure continuously increase, permeability of the core continuously decrease, which seriously affect injection water.

Ultra-low permeability rocks have plenty of microfractures. The stress-dependent permeability has a significant impact on the seepage. Previous studies are mainly on the permeability variation with stress in low permeability reservoir. But few are involved in ultralow permeability cores. In this paper, the experiment of stress sensitive ultralow permeability cores which are fabricated (both matrix cores and microfracture cores) is conducted. The experimental results shows that the permeability of microfracture low permeability cores which are fabricated increases greatly while the porosity of low permeability cores is little affected. This indicates that the fabricated microfracture cores are in line with that of the real situations of fracture media reservoir. By comparison, the permeability stress sensitive hysteresis degree of microfracture cores is not apparent and the permeability recovery degree is high in the unloading cycle. This study is of great benefit to reveals the stress sensitivity features of ultralow permeability reservoir

The pilot block is a heterogeneous reservoir with low permeability which is only 100-200(mD). Polymer flooding will be used to enhance oil recovery (EOR). Therefore, some experiment will be carried out in this pilot block .According to the simulation results, we can infer the effect factors of the polymer flooding such as concentration, injection rate, slug amounts, and well pattern. It gives us effective information for the field development plan.
