Feasibility Study on the Method of Java Combined with OSG

The purpose of this study is to combine Java and OpenSceneGraph(OSG) for the development of 3D scene graph, and to play their individual advantages. This paper introduced the scene management, rendering process and other relevant theoretical knowledge about OSG, and elaborated the method about using OSG in java environment through java's JNI technology. According to this method, the constructing, rendering and dynamic roam of a simple 3D scene graph about one frontage road were realized, and the concrete realization processes of the application introduced in this essay. The results show java can be combined with OSG for the development of 3D scene graph friendly.

: The real-time rendering of 3D scene need excellent algorithm to support scene management. After considering the algorithm complexity and scene scale factors, combining the advantages of Bounding Volume Hierarchy (BVH) and rendering tree in scene management, this paper puts forward a kind of scene organize algorithm, to solve the problem of render states redundant calculation when using BVH technology to solve the problem of deformable collision detection, by choosing the appropriate strategy of Hierarchy Bounding Volume tree construction and optimizing rendering tree of the scene. Experiments prove the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the rendering efficiency of 3D scene, enhance the visual effect.

With the arrival of the era of 3G mobile communications, people need not only to meet the call, SMS service, and begin to pursue more realistic visual and interactive experience. The paper developed the virtual campus roaming system of the Wuhan University of Technology for the Android platform based on the Baidu map of the mobile version of the API (Android) and OpenGL ES development tools. Users may select the Campus location of Wuhan University of Technology in the Android mobile phone and can query the campus road, the corresponding function architecture position and 3D virtual scene graph; at the same time they can accept the new information campus. The system of design cannot only provide users with a conventional mobile map services, but also show their location of the 3D scene graph. It is more intuitive to display location information, enhance the campus scenery and culture readability.
