With the advancement of society, transport plays an increasingly important role in human society, but more and more traffic problems are constantly plagued mankind. Aiming at the problems facing the traffic and improve the traffic situation, the polling system is applied to intelligent traffic control system in this paper. Based on the type of paper feed of the arrival rate theory, the vehicle arrives at different rates, the wait time is different. Arrival rate is high, the longer the waiting time. Then we simulate system and get the simulation results, and compare the theoretical and simulation results. Finally, the theory to practical systems is using in microprocessor hardware simulation, and actual results further validate the correctness. Through the intelligent traffic control system, a good solution to traffic jam phenomenon is got and traffic management plays an important role.

The movement of people and goods is increasing in line with economic growth in society. This causes the potential for increased transportation activities in the City of Palangka Raya so it needs efforts to improve adequate transportation facilities and infrastructure. The application of technology-based Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in Palangka Raya City is needed so that the management of the transportation system becomes more effective and efficient. This paper provides an overview of the application of ITS facilities and types in Palangka Raya City and provides recommendations for the use of new ITS facilities or optimizing existing technology so that ITS facilities can be utilized by stakeholders in traffic management and transportation systems in Palangka Raya City. Based on observations of the application of ITS in the City of Palangka Raya is applied to improve the performance of intersections and road services. The type of ITS facility is the Area Traffic Control System (ATCS), which is a vehicle traffic control system at the signal intersection to increase travel speed and travel time so that delays in travel can be minimized. It is also expected that the implementation of ITS in Palangkaraya City can also optimize the performance of public transport and traffic safety as well as the collaboration between stakeholders so that the improvement of the integrated transportation system can be well integrated.

With the increasing use of railway transportation, various methods have been developed for the control and management of train traffic. Train traffic control systems that are currently in use are overwhelmingly centralized systems. In this study, the development of the general structure of railway traffic control techniques is examined, centralized and decentralized control systems are investigated, and an alternative train traffic control system, the Decentralized Train Traffic Management System (DTMS), is suggested. Simulation results on the possible application of the proposed method to a railway line in South-East Turkey are employed to evaluate the performance of the developed system.

With the purpose of offering dynamic information services for road users, the information publishing scheme is proposed based on variable message sign and variable speed limit sign. And the information publishing system shared information control center with public transportation service system is established. The economic benefit of intelligent traffic control system is quantitatively studied by radar map method for the first time. Research shows that intelligent traffic control system has reached ideal-steady state. The research results reduce traffic congestion and improve the highway utilization and traffic management efficiency.

Traffic congestion is a worsening problem in metropolitan areas which will require integrated regional traffic control systems to improve traffic conditions. This paper presents a regional traffic control system which can detect incident conditions and provide integrated traffic management during nonrecurrent congestion events. The system combines advanced artificial intelligence techniques with a traffic performance model based on HCM equations. Preliminary evaluation of the control system using traffic microsimulation demonstrates that it has the potential to improve system conditions during traffic incidents. In addition, several enhancements were identified which will make the system more robust in a real traffic control setting. An assessment of the control system elements indicates that there are no substantial technical barriers in implementing this system in a large traffic network.

The study proposes the operating principle of the electronic Departure Manager (DMAN). The principle forms recommendations to the dispatcher on streamlining the queue of delayed aircraft, which minimizes the runway occupancy time. The requirements for the manager and the possibility of its integration into the air traffic control system are determined. The simulation results showed the feasibility of introducing an electronic manager in the busiest airports and the possibility of increasing the capacity of the runway by more than 6 %

AbstractThis article focuses exclusively on the issues of railway traffic control devices availability in traffic management. One of the factors affecting this availability are tests conducted during maintenance or repair works. A review of the literature in the field of test determination methods was conducted. Next, the railway traffic control system was described and the elements influencing availability were defined. Assumptions and an algorithm of the procedure were presented and the method of determining the tests was proposed.

In the current scenario we can see that the traffic jam has become a serious problem in rapidly growing cities (As per their population) of India by which there is increase in air pollution, Fuel consumption as well as vehicular density. So there is a requirement to find a new way for traffic controlling traffic system which will be managed through real time IoT based traffic control system using image processing. This is a smart traffic management system that is designed to control real time traffic system which consist of components of Raspberry Pi, Pi camera. Raspberry pi is the key component which is used to control all performance multitasking. By using cameras, we monitor different lanes constantly. Image processing is used to examine detection and counting no. of vehicles in different lanes. It increases the traffic efficiency and clearance. The signal light will be decided as per the no. of vehicle count using image processing.
