The magnetic properties of BaFeTiO3 (BTFO) perovskite are investigated. BTFO samples were prepared by solid state reaction method through compression. Magnetic properties are influenced by electron environments of the Fe3+ ions within the perovskite structure. Furthermore, the values of Ms and Mr indicate ferromagnetic behaviour in BFMO ceramics sintered at 800 oC for sintering as 800 oC for 6 hours at 1.898 emu/g, which is magnetization strength material more than sintering at 4 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours as 1.794 emu/g, 1.333 emu/g and 1.192 emu/g at measured of low temperature. Using the Curie-Weiss law fitting for investigate μeff~38μB high spin of Fe, negative of θ present to antiferromagnetic characteristics of BTFO sample. Finally, BTFO sintering at the high temperature of 800 oC for 6 hours exhibited the high Ms~1.898 emu/g at 50 K and ~1.216emu/g at room temperature.

The magnetic properties of Ba2FeMoO6 (BFMO) double perovskite are investigated. BFMO samples were prepared by solid state reaction method through compression. Magnetic properties are influenced by electron environments of the Fe3+ and Mo5+ ions within the perovskite structure. BFMO sintered at 800 oC exhibited the largest hysteresis loop at 50 K. In addition, the values of Ms and Mr indicate ferromagnetic behaviour in BFMO ceramics sintered at 800 oC for different times up to 10 hours. Using the Curie-Weiss law fitting to investigate μeff~30μB high spin of Fe and Mo, and negative θ present the antiferromagnetic characteristics of the BFMO sample.

Selected compositions of the Ba–Sr–Co–Fe–O system were synthesized from powders by the solid-state reaction method. Samples were equilibrated at 1273 K for 36 000 s in air. The resulting powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) at room temperature and by high-temperaturein situXRD. The phases present in the BaxSr1−xCoyFe1−yO3−δsystem are outlined for 1273 K in air. For most of the quaternary compositions, the cubic perovskite is formed, except for the compositions withx= 1 (excludingy= 0.4),y= 1 andx,y= 0.8, where the phases mainly show hexagonal distortions, andx, y= 0, for which a predominant cubic phase is mixed with other phases.

MgFe2O4 nanoparticles with different grain sizes were prepared by the low-temperature solid-state reaction method. The X-ray diffractometer (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUID) and 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy (MS) were used to characterize the structure, magnetic properties and surface anisotropy of nanoparticles. Oxygen parameters suggested that lattice distortion was decreased with reducing particle size. In comparison with the bulk material, smaller saturation magnetization (Ms) and larger coercive force (Hc) for nanoparticles were observed. The critical sizes for transition from multidomain to single domain and for superparamagnetic transition were estimated to be 25 nm and 28 nm, respectively. In summary, the fabricating conditions for the low-temperature solid-state reaction method are studied to improve Ms and reduce Hc of the films, making the films suitable to the applications of the magnetic targeted drug.

AbstractNovel luminescent materials Ca3-xSi2O7: xPr3+ were successfully prepared by the high-temperature solid-state method. The crystal structure, morphology, and optical spectrum were characterised by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and spectroscopy, respectively. The XRD patterns of the samples indicate that the crystal structure is monoclinic symmetry. The SEM shows that the selected sample has good crystallinity although its appearance is irregular and scalelike. The peak of the excitation spectrum of the sample is located at around 449 nm, corresponding to 3H4→3P2 transition of Pr3+. The peak of the emission spectrum of the sample is situated at around 612 nm which is attributed to 3P0→3H6 transition of Pr3+, and the colour is orange-red. The optimum concentration for Pr3+ replaced Ca2+ sites in Ca3Si2O7: Pr3+ is 0.75 mol%. The lifetime (8.48 μs) of a typical sample (Ca2.9925Pr0.0075)Si2O7 is obtained. It reveals that orange-red phosphors Ca3-xSi2O7: xPr3+ possess remarkable optical properties and can be used in white light emitting devices.

In this study, Co0,7Zn1,3W powders were synthesized and investigated at the microwave region. The solid-state reaction method and self-propagating high-temperature synthesis were used to production of the two kinds of hexaferrite powders. The high-frequency magnetic properties under temperature effect have been studied. It is show, that there is a nonlinear dependence on temperature within the 0 – +40 °C temperature range.
