Polyoxometalate nanoparticles were synthesized via a concise solid-state reaction method by directly grinding silver nitrate and the polyoxometalate (NH4)5H6PMo4V8O40 at room temperature without the assistance of a surfactant.

The samples of La 1-x Ca x CoO 3 (x = 0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15) were synthesized by solid state reaction method for studying thermoelectric properties. The properties of electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient were measured in the temperature ranging from room temperature to 573 K. The results of electrical conductivity was increasing Ca substitution. The highest value of electrical conductivity is 1574 S/cm. It is concluded that Ca 2+ doping in LaCoO 3 has the effect to inhibit Seebeck coefficient from decreasing.

Selected compositions of the Ba–Sr–Co–Fe–O system were synthesized from powders by the solid-state reaction method. Samples were equilibrated at 1273 K for 36 000 s in air. The resulting powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) at room temperature and by high-temperaturein situXRD. The phases present in the BaxSr1−xCoyFe1−yO3−δsystem are outlined for 1273 K in air. For most of the quaternary compositions, the cubic perovskite is formed, except for the compositions withx= 1 (excludingy= 0.4),y= 1 andx,y= 0.8, where the phases mainly show hexagonal distortions, andx, y= 0, for which a predominant cubic phase is mixed with other phases.

In the present paper the synthesis conditions for fabrication of Bi1−xNdxFeO3ceramics are reported. The single phase polycrystalline samples of Bi1−xNdxFeO3 were prepared by standard solid state reaction method from the mixture of oxides viz.: Bi2O3, Fe2O3and Nd2O3. The samples were characterized by impedance spectroscopy in the frequency range 10Hz – 1MHz at room temperature.

In this work, we demonstrate an extremely simple but highly effective strategy for the synthesis of various functional metal oxides (MOs) such as ZnO, In2O3, Bi2O3, and SnO2nanoparticles with various distinct shapes at room temperatureviaa solid-state reaction method.

Ordered perovskite-type oxides, Ca2MTeO6 (M = Mn, Co, Mg), were synthesized by a solid-state reaction method. All of samples belonged to space group P21/n and were insulators at room temperature. However, their electronic conductivities tended large gradually with a rise of temperature. Ca2MnTeO6 and Ca2CoTeO6 showed anti-ferromagnetism, and their Neel temperatures were 10 K and 7 K, respectively. The effective magnetic moment of manganese ion was 5.8 μB while its valence was bivalence in Ca2MnTeO6.
