In this paper, we analyze the data structure of design of matter-element model from the level of software design, combined with the features of the common used data structure and matter-element model in Extenics, finally propose a new data structure model, which adapt to computation, reasoning and transformation using matter-element model.

The tapered cross-section beams made of steel-concrete composite material are widely used in engineering constructions and their dynamic behavior is strongly influenced by the type of shear connection jointing the two different materials. The 1D high order finite element model for tapered cross-section steel-concrete composite material beam with interlayer slip was established in this paper. The Numerical results for vibration nature frequencies of the composite beams with two typical boundary conditions were compared with ANSYS using 2D plane stress element. The 1D element is more efficient and economical for the common tapered cross-section steel-concrete composite material beams in engineering.

Abstract In order to reach the inside surfaces of some workpieces, a prototype for milling extension is developed. The milling extension has a low static stiffness and is prone to machine tool chatter, therefore vibration control in this type of machining is of importance. The paper proposes the application of an active dynamic absorber to the milling process. A finite element model for the milling extension with consideration of the cutting dynamics is developed. An annular ring serving as the dynamic absorber mass is connected to the main system through active force generating systems which are piezoelectric translators functioning as actuators. The annular ring and the actuators are functioning as an active dynamic absorber in the theory to suppress the vibration of the milling system. Optimal control algorithms are used to calculate the Kalman feedback control for the equivalent lumped-mass milling structure model. Transient responses of the system are obtained. Oscillation of the milling extension equipped with the active dynamic absorber is attenuated appreciably, therefore the surface finish of a workpiece is improved. Harmonic responses are also obtained with and without the feedback control to show the superiority of the active control technique. A proof-of-concept experiment is designed and conducted to verify the theoretical prediction. Comparisons between the simulation and experimental results are made.

In this study, a non-linear finite element model for a simplified single-bolted joint structure model is built. Static analysis on the structure under different shear force and pretension effect is done, and the non-linear contact behavior is analyzed. Through comparing datum, it is found that interface area of each bolted joint region can be described an annular region around bolt hole, whose outer radius has increased by 85% compared with radius of bolt hole. Also, the frequency responses of the multi-bolted joint structure under sinusoidal excitation are investigated. Simulation results show that the resonance regions basically remain unchanged in different pretension effect and the largest amplitude will increase with the increasing preloads. Finally, the vibration experiments are conducted. Interface nonlinear affect dynamic stiffness considerably. The test results illustrate that dynamic behaviors of bolted joint agree with the simulation results and the proposed non-linear contact model was reasonable.

A fuzzy matter-element evaluation modeling based on cooperative game weight (FME-CGW) is presented in this paper. Based on cooperative game theory, authors introduce a cooperative game weight which embodying an idea of competition and coordination among different weight methods. Based on the cooperative game weight, employing fuzzy matter-element theory and Hamming approach degree, the authors develop FME-CGW model. The derived model is applied to assess the groundwater resources carrying capacity in Guanzhong plain in Shaanxi province. The results are reasonable and satisfactory by comparing to other methods. The study of this practical example shows that the modeling presented in this paper is a new method with simple algorithm and strong practicability, which can be adopted to analysis various comprehensive evaluation issues.

Aiming at masonry structure housing, establish the structure reliability evaluation index system. Subsidiary factors index dimensionless processing, the traditional matter-element model is analyzed, and based on this, the article puts forward an improved correlation functions, establish correlation function of the correlation factors of the index layer. Consider the weight coefficients of members,gave the extension index,combining analysis of the structural member reliability and extension comprehensive evaluation of the integral structural reliability, establish the masonry structure housing reliability assessment method framework. And prove the feasibility of this method through engineering examples.

Subjective factors could affect the weight distribution of each index in evaluation of reservoir eutrophication, so the example used entropy to deal with the weight distribution of each index. Combined attributes recognition method, the writer selected six indicators to build the entropy weight of attribute recognition model about reservoir eutrophication of ten large reservoirs in Guangdong Province. By comparing the calculated results with the results of matter-element model, the calculation results were basically consistent. So entropy weight of attribute recognition model is applicable to the evaluation of the reservoir eutrophication and it can ensure the fairness and reasonableness of weight distribution.
