In this paper, based on the characteristics of battery management system, a monitor and control platform for battery management system was designed, using Kvaser Leaf bus analyzer and CAN bus technology. Test shows the platform has well performance in data monitoring, control strategy optimization and hardware test.

According to the requirements of the battery pack on pure electric vehicles, designed a distributed battery management system using the bus communication technology, the system can detect various operating parameters of the battery in real-time, diagnose and alarm according to the battery status. The system can also share information with the other systems of the vehicle through CAN bus. Through testing the system, the result shows that it can accurately measure the current and voltage of the battery, and the measurement accuracy meets the actual requirements.
