In this paper, (2E,6E)-2,6-Bis(2,3,4-tri-methoxy -benzylidene)cyclohexanone (omitted as tmbcho) (1) was obtained by the reaction of acetic acid, tetrahydrofuran, cyclohexanone and 2,3,4-tri-methoxy-benzaldehyde. Three non-classic hydrogen bonds were observed in the compound. X-ray crystallography shows that the crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C-H•••π interactions and it contains plenty of conjugated double bonds. The title compound was characterized by UV-vis and fluorescent spectral studies.

A cyanido-bridged Zn(II)-Ag(I) bimetallic coordination polymer, {[Zn(phen)2(H2O){Ag(CN)2}] [Ag(CN)2]·MeOH}n (1), was prepared using ZnCl2, 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and K[Ag(CN)2] and characterized by IR spectroscopy, thermal analysis and X-ray crystallography. The crystal structure of 1 consists of dinuclear [Zn(phen)2(H2O){Ag(CN)2}]+ cations, [Ag(CN)2]- anions and a methanol molecule. The non-coordinated [Ag(CN)2]- anions are linked to the [Zn(phen)2(H2O){Ag(CN)2}]+ complex cations through argentophilic interactions leading to the formation of chains. The chains are connected by hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions to give a 3D network.

The title complex was synthesised and its structure determined by x-ray crystallography. The structure contains two hydrogen bonds between the phosphoryl oxygen atom and the two meta-toluidinium ions. The P–N bond lengths are significantly different and the differences, attributed to varying p π-d π interactions along the bonds, confirm earlier observations on tri-para-toluidylphosphazenyl oxide.

The title compound, C11H6Br2O4, is a new coumarin derivative obtained from the reaction of 3-acetyl-4-hydroxy-2H-chromen-2-one with bromine in acetic acid. The hydroxyl group in involved in an intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, π–π interactions between the rings of the bicycle [intercentroid distances = 3.498 (2) and 3.539 (2) Å] pack molecules into stacks along thebaxis, and weak intermolecular C—H...O hydrogen bonds further link these stacks into layers parallel to theabplane.

Abstract The structure of the title compound has been determined by X-ray crystallography. The title compound is synthesized from the elements at 600 °C. Its crystal structure, derived from powder data [3] is refined by single crystal diffractometer data. The structure is trigonal (P3̅ml, α = 684.1(1), c = 724.4(1) pm); Pd2+ cations and PS43- anions form a network with an anti-Claudetite (AS2O3) type structure. The PS4 units are distinctly distorted from ideal tetrahedral symmetry. The Pd atoms have a planar environment of 4 S atoms.

A polycrystalline sample of a new polymorph of the title compound, C8H11NO2, was produced during a variable-temperature X-ray powder diffraction study. The crystal structure was solved at 1.67 Å resolution by simulated annealing from laboratory powder data collected at 250 K. Subsequent Rietveld refinement yielded an R wp of 0.070 to 1.54 Å resolution. The structure contains two molecules in the asymmetric unit, which form a C 2 2(8) chain motif via N—H...O hydrogen bonds.

In the mononuclear title complex, [Co(N3)2(C12H8N4S)2], the cobalt(II) atom is located on an inversion centre and displays an axially weakly compressed octahedral coordination geometry. The equatorial positions are occupied by the N atoms of two 2,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole ligands, whereas the axial positions are occupied by N atoms of the azide anions. The thiadiazole and pyridine rings linked to the metal are almost coplanar, with a maximum deviation from the mean plane of 0.0273 (16) Å. The cohesion of the crystal is ensured by weak C—H...N hydrogen bonds and by π–π interactions between pyridine rings [intercentroid distance = 3.6356 (11) Å], forming a layered arrangement parallel to (001). The structure of the title compound is isotypic with that of the analogous nickel(II) complex [Laachiret al.(2013).Acta Cryst.E69, m351–m352].

The title compound, C23H21N3, comprises a 2-amino-3-cyanopyridine ring fused with a cyclopentane ring. The later adopts an envelope conformation with the central methylene C atom as the flap. The benzyl and andp-tolyl rings are inclined to one another by 56.18 (15)°, and to the pyridine ring by 81.87 (14) and 47.60 (11)°, respectively. In the crystal, molecules are linked by pairs of N—H...Nnitrilehydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers with anR22(12) ring motif. The dimers are linked by C—H...π and π–π interactions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.7211 (12) Å], forming a three-dimensional framework.

The title compound, C25H20BNO2 · CH3OH, was examined by UV, IR, 1H, and 13C NMK spectroscopy as well as by thermogravimetry and X-ray structure analysis (Pbnb, a = 8.815, b = 17.309, c=28.992 Å, R= 5.5%). These investigations show the six-membered chelate ring (chelate A) to exist as formulated in [2] and not as a five-membered chelate ring B. One methanol molecule connects two chelate molecules by hydrogen bonds, resulting in an overall ratio of chelate to methanol of 1 : 1.

In the title compound, C36H44O10·C6H6, the dioxolane ring adopts an envelope conformation with the C atom bonded to the H atom as the flap, while the cyclohexene and cyclohexane rings are in half-chair and chair conformations, respectively. In the crystal, a pair of O—H...O hydrogen bonds with anR22(26) graph-set motif connect the benzoate molecules into an inversion dimer. The dimers are linked by a weak C—H...O interaction into a tape structure along [01-1]. The benzene molecule links the tapes through C—H...O and C—H...π interactions, forming a sheet parallel to (100).

There is an intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bond present forming anS(6) ring motif.
