The estimation of country rock stability in underground engineering is the important basis for carrying out engineering design and formulating corresponding engineering measures. The interval form of quality standard, the value of resolution coefficient ρ and the weight of correlation degree are seldom takend consideration by the traditional gray correlation analysis model, an improved gray correlation analysis model is used to analyze the five indices of influencing the country rock stability: rock quality designation RQD, moisture compressive strength Rw, integrity coefficient Kv, structure surface strength coefficient Kf, groundwater seepage measurement W/L. The results show that the improved correlation analysis model is superior in its objectivity and applicability as well as certain practical value in evaluating country rock stability or other evaluation problems.

This paper presents a method for construction contractor selection based on trust building. By classifying criteria into three types of trust and applying gray correlation analysis, the presented method concerns multi-criteria for evaluation other than price, selects trust-and selection-related criteria, provides approaches for indicator quantification and determines the contractor on the basis of gray correlation degree.

Construction and demolition (C&D) materials obtained from the demolition of buildings are proven to be qualified and sustainable subgrade fillers. The permanent deformation response of subgrade C&D materials under different moisture contents, degrees of compaction, deviator stresses, and confining pressures was revealed by carrying out dynamic triaxial texts. Then, using a four-factor and three-level orthogonal test and by calculating the Gray correlation degree of each factor, the influence degree of each factor on the permanent deformation was determined. The results indicated that two different response types of the permanent deformation of subgrade C&D materials, plastic shakedown and plastic creep, were identified as reason behind the increase in stress levels. Also, according to the Gray correlation analysis results, the permanent deformation of highway subgrade filled with C&D materials is influenced by the deviator stress most significantly, followed by moisture content, degree of compaction, and confining pressure. Finally, a permanent deformation prediction model about this kind of subgrade filler with a reasonable prediction accuracy was proposed.

In this paper, we set up a comprehensive assessment model to choose “best all time college coach” in the last century by combining Analytic Hierarchy Process with Gray Correlation Analysis. Taking the effect of time line horizon into consideration, we introduce Entropy weight approach into our model by Least Square Method and Linear Programming.

Evaluation on the sports scientific research performance, as the way to judge the scientific research ability of sports teachers for universities and colleges, is of great significance to improve the over-all sports scientific research quality. This paper studied on the evaluation on the sports scientific research performance from the following perspectives. Firstly, the fundamental methods of evaluating the sports scientific research performance was given; the second was to present the indices for the performance evaluation and analyze specifically the indices; thirdly, the gray ideal domain of the evaluation indices was established as well as the gray correlation coefficients of the evaluated objects and the gray ideal domain; the fourth was to obtain the weight of indices via the comprehensive analysis method and to build the weighted gray correlation analysis model for the sports scientific research performance evaluation to get the gray correlation degree of the evaluated objects which served to judge the sports scientific research ability and level of objects. For the last part, this paper conducted the case study which verified the simple calculation and operation of the model.
