Poly (allylamine)-silica composites (PAA/SiO2) was prepared via CPTCS as coupling agent and PAA as modifier. The structure and adsorption properties of silica gel, CPTCS-SiO2 and PAA/SiO2 were determinated by FTIR, structural analysis, TG analysis and adsorption test. The results show that PAA/SiO2 had excellent adsorption capacities for Cu (II), Pb (II) and Ni (II) in aqueous solutions. Its adsorption capacities can reach 0.972mmol/g for copper ion at experimental conditions. Besides, PAA/SiO2 also possessed excellent stability in the flow tests.

Abstract In this study, a hydrogel adsorbent was successfully synthesized using hydroxyapatite/acrylamide/β-cyclodextrin to adsorb heavy metal ions and dyes in water. In the study, different contents of hydroxyapatite were added to the hydrogel, and then the mechanical properties and adsorption properties of the material were studied. The results show that the compressive strength of hydrogel added with hydroxyapatite increased by 37.1%. According to the adsorption isotherm model, the maximum adsorption capacity is 300mg/g. In addition, the preparation process of the composite hydrogel is simple, and can be used at a lower pH value, and can be used multiple times. Therefore, the material is of great significance to the treatment of pollutants.

The bagasse fibers were activated by alkalize and etherified. 1,2-ethanediamine and carbon disulfide were used to modify the etherify fiber to get the chelate-fiber contained sulfur and nitrogen. The FTIR was used to characterize the xanthated aminating-fiber (XAF). The mechanism of sorption properties for heavy metal ions were studied. As the results shown, the optimal process to prepare the XAF was that the reaction time, concentration of NaOH and dosage of CS2 was 60min, 12% and 2mL, respectively. The chelate-fiber containing sulfur and nitrogen possessed high adsorption capacities for Cu(II) and the mechanism of sorption fitted the pseudo-second-order model well.
