In this paper, a soft CNCS (Computerized Numerical Control System) works on Windows-XP operating system is presented. The comparison between soft CNC and traditional CNC system is discussed. The structure of soft CNC system is introduced as follow. The realizations of each real time module, such as real time path planning and interpolation, real time close-loop controller, real time safety detection, are introduced in detail. The real time tasks are based on a real time kernel. In the end, an application of the soft CNC system is realized on a 3-axis milling machine. The machining result shows it works well.

On the basis of analyzing the shortcomings of the current technics for grooves machining, this paper deals with the development of Numerical Control System for machining of grooves in automobile synchronization regulator sleeve, which holds first-rate technics. In order to improve efficiency and precision of grooves machining and reduce cost of the cutter, Hypocycloid-based technique together with interpolation is introduced and studied. With IPC as system platform and PMAC (Programmable Multiple-Axes Controller) as the controlling center of the system, the open architecture of “PC-Based” is used in the CNC system and the framework of the CNC hardware is developed. According to the ideas of modularization and real-time multi-task scheduler, the CNC software system is carved into many modules and the framework of the CNC software is developed.

This paper presents the design scheme of monitoring management and fault diagnosis of open CNC system based on Internet, the system hardware structure introduces network technology three-tier monitoring mode based on field control layer and process monitoring control layer and remote fault diagnosis layer, the system software design includes CNC system management and monitoring and fault diagnosis. The paper integrates condition monitoring and fault diagnosis and expert system technology into CNC system monitoring and management, and analyzes the requirements of distributed numerical control system, and details description system model of remote monitoring and fault diagnosis system. The practice has proved that the system design of open remote monitoring and fault diagnosis is practicality and feasibility.

The defocus distance is one of the most important factors during filling laser welding with wire. Keeping defocus distances stability is the pre-condition to acquire the stable weld quality. In this paper, a QUANTA laser camera was used to measure the defocus distance, and it is compensated in real time through the numerical control system. The results reveal that the fixed defocus distances can be acquired using this system. And the experiments by using auto-controlling method of the defocus distance show that the stability of welding process can be improved greatly and the good weld quality can be easy to be obtained.

The paper presents a system of numerical control conventional milling machine, however with drives equipped with electromagnetic clutches. In control system was used relay controlled using PC. There are connected to buttons to manually panel milling machine with an electromagnetic system feeds. Developed using VB6 special software to control the machine with G-code.

An open three coordinates computer numerical control (CNC) system was developed, which was based on PC and PMAC motion controller. A three coordinate's miniature CNC milling machine was researched with a simple structure, low cost, small volume and suitability for teaching, and so on. Meanwhile the CNC system had the advantages of 3-axis linkage, program editing, manual operation, inching operation, simulation processing operation, automatic operation and dynamic display of the trace. The system is based on the Windows XP platform and it is convenient to manipulate with friendly interface.

An open numerical control system was built based on DMC movement controller. The system was simple and practical for most common CNC machine tools transform. The open numerical control system was introduced, the hardware connection and user interface program were designed combined with CA6140 lathe. The constructed CNC system has general functions of CNC system, the jog and interpolated motion can be realized, and this open control system can reach the requirements of customer. The experiments indicate that the open numerical control system can be applied to other machine tools, it has certain efficiency and usability.
