A new sensor-based temperature measuring system with high accuracy is presented in this paper. The temperature accuracy smaller then 0.02K is the measured performance of the measuring system after calibration at ten temperatures, over the -50°Cto 300°C targeted temperature range. Comparing with the traditional temperature measuring system, the advantages of the new sensor-based temperature measuring system are the high precision, immunity to noise, independent with the length of sensor wires and remote operation. And all these are at a low cost with less then 36mW of power consumption. Therefore the sensor-based temperature system is suitable for any field where reliable and accurate temperature measurement or a wide measurement range is necessary.

At present, the energy crisis is increasingly serious. Energy-saving becomes a practical issues faced by all fields in the life. Considering this, the paper presents a new vehicle consumption measuring system based on intelligent handling and humane design under the promise of accurate measurement as well as low cost. In addition, the use of radio frequency communication technology makes precise measurement of instant and accumulative fuel consumption come true in any working hours. Field experiment results show that the vehicle fuel consumption measuring system has character of facilitate operation, low cost, advanced and reliable measurement method and high accuracy (within 1.5%). It can improve greatly the production efficiency of the internal combustion machine and avoid effectively the waste phenomenon, and be prone to make further application widely.

The commercial equipment that carries out the measurement of temperature has a high cost. Therefore, this article describes the development of a temperature measurement equipment, which uses a microcontrolled platform, responsible for managing the data of the collected temperature signals and making available the acquired information, so that they can be verified in real time at the measurement site, or remotely. The construction of the temperature measurement equipment was performed using open platform hardware / software, where performance tests were carried out with the objective of developing a temperature measurement equipment that has measurement quality and low cost.

The precision of piezoresistive sensors is low between wide temperature range .The conditioning result isn’t ideal by analog approaches. Also the efficiency is very low. To improve this condition , a digital approach is introduced. It coverts sensors’ analog signal to digital value, and then uses polynomial and coefficients stored in singlechip to correct the digital value. At last , the singlechip coverts corrected digital value to analog signal to output. Its conditioning principle and calibration process is also described. We realized 4-to-20mA-current-loop-output of piezoresistive sensors using this aprroch. Calibration results show this method is efficient and low cost.

The vibration measurement is one of the new application in the optical sensor. This paper studies a new non-contact optical vibration sensor, and implements the Optical fiber vibration sensor based on FPGA. The totally available measurement range arrived over 300um, and the accuracy of 0.1 um can be obtained . This fiber optic vibration sensor has a low cost, good reliability, and high accuracy measurements.
