In this paper we discuss magnetic properties of ConOm (n = 2,6, m = 0-9,12) nanoparticles. Based on quantum chemistry research results we present and consider reasons due to which magnetic properties of small particles are different.

In In this study to understand the substitutional effect of Co-Zn on structural and magnetic properties of the BaFe12-2xCoxZnxO19 M-type hexagonal ferrites with concentration (x= 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0) were synthesized by the ceramic method. The results of x-ray diffraction show polycrystalline with single phase. Scanning electron microscopy micrographs shows the hexagonal ferrites that are composed of small particles with large porosity, roughly of spherical shapes. The substitution of Fe3+ ion by Co2+ and Zn2+ has changed magnetic properties of hexagonal ferrites.

For the first time, silver nuggets were found in the gold-bearing placers of the Subpolar Urals. Galena, cassiterite, wolframite, cosalite, tetradymite, ferberite, cobaltine, joseite-B, native bismuth associate with silver and gold. Silver is mainly represented by poorly rounded and non-round gray lumpy, slightly flattened, elongated particles of 2-2.5 cm size. As part of silver, Au and Hg sometimes contain impurities. Inclusions are represented by small particles of gold, bismuth and tellurium mineral phases. Research results indicate a fairly widespread development of Au-Ag-Bi-Te mineralization, the primary manifestations of which are not yet known in the region. Relatively weak roundness of silver nuggets, presence of major and poorly rounded gold indicates the proximity of the primary sources to gold-bearing placers.

Understanding of the relationship between stress and magnetic properties in nanostructures is of both fundamental and practical interest. In the present paper, we illustrate this statement with some recent research results. First, we will see how the magnetoelastic interaction in Dy films controls the magnetic structure at the nanoscale due to the presence of the structural defects and their associated strain fields. Then, it will be shown how the magnetoelastic contribution can dominate the total anisotropy in epitaxial (100) oriented Cu/Ni/Cu nanowires, where the film patterning process performed to produce the nanowires induces strain changes large enough to favor a net in-plane anisotropy transverse to the lines.
