A new species of the mite genus Myrmozercon Berlese, 1902, Myrmozercon patagonicus n. sp., is described and illustrated based on adult females collected on ants, Camponotus sp., in Southern Chile (Patagonia). The new species differs from all congeners by the following combination of characters: dorsal shield hypotrichous; dorsal cuticle not hypertrichous; setae st1–st5 present; anal shield with circum-anal setae only; peritremes short; ventral soft cuticle hypertrichous; fixed and movable cheliceral digits edentate; epistome smooth; leg setation not hypotrichous. This new species represents the first Myrmozercon from the Neotropical region. A key to non-Palaearctic species of Myrmozercon is provided.

The Palaearctic species of the genus Trichardis Hermann, 1906 are reviewed. A new species, T. lehri sp. nov., is described. A new synonymy is established: T. leucocoma (van der Wulp, 1899) = T. afanasievae Lehr, 1964, syn. nov. The male of T. mongolica V. Richter, 1972 is described for the first time. External features and the male genitalia of T. lehri sp. nov., T. leucocoma (van der Wulp, 1899) and T. mongolica V. Richter, 1972 are illustrated with photographs.

AbstractThe order Intejocerida is an enigmatic, short-lived cephalopod taxon known previously only from Early–Middle Ordovician beds of Siberia and the United States. Here we report a new genus, Cabaneroceras, and a new species, C. aznari, from Middle Ordovician strata of central Spain. This finding widens the paleogeographic range of the order toward high-paleolatitudinal areas of peri-Gondwana. A curved conch, characteristic for the new genus, was previously unknown from members of the Intejocerida.UUID: http://zoobank.org/21f0a09c-5265-4d29-824b-6b105d36b791
