The purpose of this expositional paper was to analyze the Francis Bacon Prose Style as literary genre with reference to his essays (“Of Studies” Of Revenge” and “Of Marriage and Single Life”) Bacon’s essays have a certain unique characteristic which make us question the classification of essay. Literary review through expositional form of writing for presenting opinions based on facts from his essays was considered as a method for analyzing literary essays. The finding of this paper through analyzing his three major essays (“Of Studies” Of Revenge” and “Of Marriage and Single Life) revealed, Bacon has used various features which can be termed as: Aphoristic, Paradox, Rhetorical Device, Imagery, Analogy, and allusion for being impersonal trough saving his own personality. Bacon’s works are classified as essays for having the artistic value of Beauty and moral. Francis Bacon has distinctive features that fame his works through the ages. Bacon’s style is compact yet polished and indeed some of its conciseness is due to the skillful adaptation of Latin idiom and phrase. His sentences are pregnant and have the capability of expending into paragraph. He had a great and impressive mastery over the art of saying maximum into minimum words.

The classification of human geographical subjects, their common and distinctive features has been noted. The place of geography of religion in the system of human geographical sciences has been traced. The object and subject of study of geography of religion has been identified. The regional investigations of sphere of religion have been analysed and approaches to its study have been systemized. Counterfeit note has a disastrous impact on a country’s economy. The circulation of such fake notes not only diminishes the value of genuine note but also results in inflation. The feasible solution to this burning issue is to create awareness about the counterfeit notes among public and to equip them with a technology to detect fake notes on their own. Though there exist numerous research articles on detection of fake notes, they are not handy. The reason for this could be the unavailability or unaffordability in acquiring the equipment for the same. This paper proposes an approach whose implementation can easily be deployed on a smart phone and hence anyone with access to them can use the application to detect the fake notes. The proposed approach consists of the processing phases including image procurement, pre-processing, data augmentation, feature extraction and classification. ₹500 notes are considered for experimentation analysis. Out of 17 distinctive features, 3 such from the obverse side are considered to evaluate the genuineness of the note. Siamese neural network is employed to build a model for effective classification of the notes. The performance of the proposed approach is evaluated at 85% with respect to accuracy.

In this paper, an attempt is made to study the metaphorical language used in one of the best-selling books, The Secret, the Power by Rhonda Byrne (2010). A lot of literature has been made on analyzing metaphors in different genres, yet how metaphorical language is employed in best-selling books gained little attention from discourse analysts, so this study comes to fill this gap in the literature. The purpose of this paper is to focus on this crucial field of written discourse and best-selling books in particular. It will investigate the linguistic techniques which are employed in a way to persuade the audience to change their behavior or ideas and adopt new ones, especially the use of metaphorical expressions and storytelling. Metaphors will be analyzed according to Lakoff & Johnson’s (1980) perspective of metaphorical expressions and the "Speech Act Theory" proposed by Austin (1962) and Searle (1969). The paper concludes that metaphorical language is an integral part and pervasive in Byrne's writing style. She uses metaphorical expressions to deliver her message indirectly to convince the audience to adopt her ideas to call them for action. The analysis shows that storytelling is also employed by the author as a rhetorical device to persuade the audience of her thoughts.

Poetry is one of the richest forms of literature, which in itself includes all components of language a human learns; by components here, the context is towards the rhetorical devices. The rhetorical devices constitute the witty use of words used in the reference to things. The work intends to identify the forms of creative references used by the poets to contrast their style of writing and categorize the text on the basis of the same. On the basis of each such prominent device such as rhymes or alliteration, one can derive the boundary or similarity percentage amongst the poems, which can be further extended to compare the writing style of the poets. The method of analysis holds a good value to study different poets of the modern and renaissance era and could be helpful in contrasting their way of putting things into words. The article is devoted to the topic of emotions and their expression in French and Russian. The author dwells on the close connection of feelings with the spiritual and cultural needs of society. The distinctive features of emotions are highlighted as intensity, limited duration, polarity and others. The article presents various approaches to the classification of emotions, as well as lexemes associated with the verbalization of emotions and feelings. One of the aspects of the study of color vocabulary is the investigation of the emotion perception of different colors by speakers of other languages including the gender aspects of this issue.

This chapter surveys the large body of Fitzgerald’s critical writing, only a fraction of which has been collected and is currently in print. This body of work includes more than fifty book, film and theatre reviews for Punch magazine, more than twenty essays on European art, literature and culture for World Review (the periodical that Fitzgerald co-edited in the early 1950s), and more than 200 reviews of fiction and biography in British and American newspapers, as well as introductions for books and editions, travel essays, art criticism, literary essays and journalistic sketches. The chapter considers the nature of Fitzgerald’s critical sympathies, priorities and tastes, and the marked stylistic continuities between her criticism and fiction. In particular, the chapter notes Fitzgerald’s fascination in her critical writing with what would become two of the most distinctive features of her own writing: a searching appreciation of the psychological and social interplay between fictional characters, and a prose style apparently without art.

The complex relationship between literature and law has been widely debated. Over the last 20 years, the judicial novel has been the subject of renewed consideration from critics. Numerous studies have pointed out how literary and judicial practices seem characterized by common methods of narrative organization and communication of experiences. Beyond the controversy on the classification of the judicial novel as literary genre, the representation of courtrooms has undeniably become one of the recurring tropes of the 20th-century novel. Within this multifaceted literary movement, the unique style of Italian judiciary literature warrants its articulation as a distinct genre. The working hypothesis of this article is that the political and cultural centrality acquired by the Italian Magistratura, as result of a longstanding confrontation with the political powers, is essential in studying the success of the Italian judiciary novel, together with the emergence of a vast number of jurist-writers. Analyzing specifically the work of the jurist-writer Gianrico Carofiglio, I will demonstrate how the Italian legal thriller transforms the representation of the trial, dealing with the literary tradition as well as with law’s own representation.
