In the process of data integration among heterogeneous databases, it is significantly important to analyze the identical attributes and characteristics of the databases. However, the existing main data attribute matching model has the defects of oversize matching space and low matching precision. Therefore, this paper puts forward a heterogeneous data attribute matching model on the basis of fusion of SOM and BP network through analyzing the attribute matching process of heterogeneous databases. This model firstly matches the heterogeneous data attributes in advance by SOM network to determine the centre scope of attribute data to be matched. Secondly, the accurate match will be carried out through BP network of the standard heterogeneous data various attribute center. Finally, the matching result of the relevant actual database shows that this model can effectively reduce the matching space in the case of complex pattern. As for the large-scale data matching, the matching accuracy is relatively high. The average precision is 89.52%, and the average recall rate is 100%.

More and more accessible databases are available in the Web. In order to provide people a unified access to these Web heterogeneous databases and achieve information from them automatically. This paper proposes a comprehensive solution for heterogeneous database integration, explains the heterogeneity of the data source, analyzes the method of integration mod of heterogeneous data source by using interconnect technology of database and considers mainly the integration about the heterogeneous data source based on Web Service and Java. This solution is extensible and portable.

Providing citizens with the ability to move around in an accessible way is a requirement for all cities today. However, modeling city infrastructures so that accessible routes can be computed is a challenge because it involves collecting information from multiple, large-scale and heterogeneous data sources. In this paper, we propose and validate the architecture of an information system that creates an accessibility data model for cities by ingesting data from different types of sources and provides an application that can be used by people with different abilities to compute accessible routes. The article describes the processes that allow building a network of pedestrian infrastructures from the OpenStreetMap information (i.e., sidewalks and pedestrian crossings), improving the network with information extracted obtained from mobile-sensed LiDAR data (i.e., ramps, steps, and pedestrian crossings), detecting obstacles using volunteered information collected from the hardware sensors of the mobile devices of the citizens (i.e., ramps and steps), and detecting accessibility problems with software sensors in social networks (i.e., Twitter). The information system is validated through its application in a case study in the city of Vigo (Spain).

Data matching technology is a key technology for spatial data integration and fusion. This paper represents a solution to the complex polygon area, defines the area overlapped rate in the aspect of geometric measure, presents the data matching idea based on area overlapped rate .Then, this paper discusses and realizes the data matching relation of area elements including one to one , many to one and many to many. At last, region targets are set as the study object, large scale data are taken for example. We draw the conclusion: this algorithm is efficient.

How to coordinate heterogeneous database to realize sharing and consistency of information not only is an important research subject in the database filed, but also is an emerging research hot spot in the field of database system. As a new development direction of computer software, it applies some new techniques to integrate the existing systems to develop new applications. The paper analyzes CSCW, XML, JDBC and heterogeneous database, and proposes a solution of heterogeneous database. The solution absorbs the thoughts of database meta data, middle ware and LDAP directory service.

In order to meet the reasonable matching of resource for collaborative development of products in manufacturing enterprises including involvement of suppliers on a large scale, a Generalized Design Resource Pool (GDRP) and It’s Resource Particles (RP) are defined, a multi-project collaborative planning and resource particles constraint-matching model with realization algorithm is presented. Finally, a case of developing mobile phone to an enterprise is presented to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the presented approach.

Ontology matching plays an important role in the integration of heterogeneous data sources that are described by ontologies. In order to determine correspondences between ontologies, a set of matchers can be used. After the execution of these matchers and the aggregation of the results obtained by these matchers, a final alignment method is executed in order to select appropriate correspondences between entities of compared ontologies. The final alignment method is an important part of the ontology matching process because it directly determines the output result of this process. In this paper we improve our iterative final alignment method by introducing an automatic adjustment of final alignment threshold as well as a new rule for determining false correspondences with similarity values greater than adjusted threshold. An evaluation of the method is performed on the test ontologies of the OAEI evaluation contest and a comparison with other final alignment methods is given.

BACKGROUND: The dopamine system contributes to a multitude of functions ranging from reward and motivation to learning and movement control, making it a key component in goal-directed behavior. Altered dopaminergic function is observed in neurological and psychiatric conditions. Numerous factors have been proposed to influence dopamine function, but due to small sample sizes and heterogeneous data analysis methods in previous studies their specific and joint contributions remain unresolved. METHODS: In this cross-sectional register-based study we investigated how age, sex, body mass index (BMI), as well as cerebral hemisphere and regional volume influence striatal type 2 dopamine receptor (D2R) availability in the human brain. We analyzed a large historical dataset (n=156, 120 males and 36 females) of [11C]raclopride PET scans performed between 2004 and 2018. RESULTS: Striatal D2R availability decreased through age for both sexes and was higher in females versus males throughout age. BMI and striatal D2R availability were weakly associated. There was no consistent lateralization of striatal D2R. The observed effects were independent of regional volumes. These results were validated using two different spatial normalization methods, and the age and sex effects also replicated in an independent sample (n=135). CONCLUSIONS: D2R density is dependent on age and sex, which may contribute to the vulnerability of neurological and psychiatric conditions involving altering D2R expression.

Identifying matching attributes across heterogeneous data sources is a critical and time-consuming step in integrating the data sources. In this paper, the author proposes a method for matching the most frequently encountered types of attributes across overlapping heterogeneous data sources. The author uses mutual information as a unified measure of dependence on various types of attributes. An example is used to demonstrate the utility of the proposed method, which is useful in developing practical attribute matching tools.

A federated data warehouse is a logical integration of data warehouses applicable when physical integration is impossible due to privacy policy or legal restrictions. In healthcare systems federated data warehouses are a most feasible source of data for deducing guidelines for evidence-based medicine based on data material from different participating institutions. In order to enable the translation of queries in a federated approach, schemas of the federated warehouse and the local warehouses must be matched. In this paper we present a procedure that enables the matching process for schema structures specific to the multidimensional model of data warehouses: facts, measures, dimensions, aggregation levels and dimensional attributes. Similarities between warehouse-specific structures are computed by using linguistic and structural comparison. The calculated values are used to create necessary mappings.

Much work has been done in the area of data access and integration using various data mapping, matching, and loading techniques. One of the main concerns when integrating data from heterogeneous data sources is data redundancy. The concern is mainly due to the different business contexts and purposes from which the data systems were originally built. A common process for accessing data from integrated databases involves the use of each data source’s own catalogue or metadata schema. In this article, the authors take the view that there is a greater chance of data inconsistencies, such as data redundancies when integrating them within a grid environment as compared to traditional distributed paradigms. The importance of improving the data search and matching process is briefly discussed, and a partial service oriented generic strategy is adopted to consolidate distinct catalogue schemas of federated databases to access information seamlessly. To this end, a proposed matching strategy between structure objects and data values across federated databases in a grid environment is presented.
