This paper introduces a networked closed-loop model for smart on-site maintenance of substation equipment using mobile networks, which is composed of a field-side Smart Operation and Maintenance (SOM) box with its related APP and a centre-side system platform for Operation and Maintenance (OM). As a bridge to connect the operation sites and data centre, the networked equipment maintenance model enables bidirectional communication among the management, maintenance teams, and diversely located equipment. This model not only realizes the formal data uploading in real-time, but also can provide the workers on site with guidance from the data centre.

In the process of the operation and maintenance of secondary devices in smart substation, a wealth of defect texts containing the state information of the equipment is generated. Aiming to overcome the low efficiency and low accuracy problems of artificial power text classification and mining, combined with the characteristics of power equipment defect texts, a defect texts mining method for a secondary device in a smart substation is proposed, which integrates global vectors for word representation (GloVe) method and attention-based bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM-Attention) method in one model. First, the characteristics of the defect texts are analyzed and preprocessed to improve the quality of the defect texts. Then, defect texts are segmented into words, and the words are mapped to the high-dimensional feature space based on the global vectors for word representation (GloVe) model to form distributed word vectors. Finally, a text classification model based on BiLSTM-Attention was proposed to classify the defect texts of a secondary device. Precision, Recall and F1-score are selected as evaluation indicators, and compared with traditional machine learning and deep learning models. The analysis of a case study shows that the BiLSTM-Attention model has better performance and can achieve the intelligent, accurate and efficient classification of secondary device defect texts. It can assist the operation and maintenance personnel to make scientific maintenance decisions on a secondary device and improve the level of intelligent management of equipment.

As a core part of smart substation, SCD files make secondary circuits in smart substation becoming a ‘black box’, which brings great difficulties to operation and maintenance. This paper proposes the SCD virtual circuit identification technology based on a semantic strength, which can provide an effective technical solution for the SCD management of smart substation, and demonstrates a reference for controlling the maintenance risk of smart substation.

Abstract In the process of reconstruction and expansion of intelligent substation, it is difficult to accurately define the influence scope of SCD file upgrade. In the wake of each modification of SCD file, all configuration information contained in SCD needs to be re-verified, which greatly increases the workload of debugging, operation and maintenance of intelligent substation. Via decoupling SCD files, the problems of modification and re-verification of SCD files in the reconstruction and expansion stage can be tackled. In this paper, SCD precision decoupling method for smart substation with single equipment replacement is proposed, which makes SCD decoupling work more detailed, adaptable to various expansion and technical transformation of substation. The decoupling of SCD is refined from logical structure to physical link level, and the decoupling range of SCD is precisely determined, so as to minimize the modification and reverification range of SCD files and reduce the change risk caused by SCD modification.

A unified specification to design and operate the stability control device in smart substation has not been formed yet, which has greatly affected the promotion and application of stability control device in smart substation. Thus, referring to the technical specifications of protection device and combining to the specificity of stability control device, a full and detailed configuration scheme is proposed to meet the requirement, including the device configuration principle, the access configuration of SV and GOOSE for variable primary connection types, the virtual terminal and soft switch. This solution is beneficial to standardize the R&D of stability control device in smart substation, and to facilitate on-site debugging, operation and maintenance.

The existence of a large number of multicast flooding data in the process level of smart substation,causes serious influence on the real-time performance and reliability of network.Through the exchange principle of Ethernet,the forwarding process of second-layer multicast in network is introduced. Combined with the application in intelligent substation and some experimental data, through in-depth analysis of the 802.1Q VLAN isolating broadcast domain,setting static multicast to change the static MAC address table ,and GMRP to change the multicast information on Ethernet switch through the interactive protocol data, the multicast flooding suppression method is illustrated. And based on the practical engineering situation, the three kinds of methods are compared from the characteristics of debugging operation and maintenance convenience and reliability of intelligent equipment,then the technology route recommendation is given.

With the continuous development of power grid, the investment of equipment assets is increasing sharply during the 13th Five Year Plan Period. There is a growing need for equipment maintenance as the equipment ages and varies in different types from transmission to distribution equipment. Equipment is the base element of healthy power grid development. Therefore, it is important to raise the efficiency and quality of equipment status via operation and maintenance. To improve the effectiveness of equipment maintenance, reduce the maintenance cost, improve the safe operation level and power supply reliability of power grid, this paper uses econometric model of correlation analysis to build the correlation between daily overhaul, operation and maintenance and fault frequency and voltage qualification rate, so as to provide optimal decision for the development of operation, inspection and maintenance of power grid company.
