In order to make a better convergence of old and new roadbed,according to treatment technology about highway reconstruction project of new and old roadbed lap,we introduced the four good construction technology detailedly used in the construction process. Four kinds of processing technology can significantly reduce differential settlement caused by road diseases,and strengthen the widening subgrade integrity.The results show that the appropriate cutting slope and excavation steps, a good degree of compaction, the rational use of geosynthetic materials, the use of the use of high quality packing can make the new and old roadbed integrity, achieve good effect of design and construction and reduced the incidence of disease.

With the continued rapid economic development in recent years, Urumqi, vehicle scale continues to expand, prompting the city traffic was a rapid growth trend, Outer Ring Road as a fast loop only existing within the city limits, borne traffic has far exceeded the original design prediction traffic volume and the actual capacity, resulting in a number of sections, interchange nodes, often made of ramp entrances become congested road, the outer ring road to solve the congestion problem, and it needs to be rebuilt to meet the expansion needs of the new era. Urumqi City East Outer Ring Expressway road expansion reconstruction project, for example, to explore the elevated expansion of the project construction methods, summarize experience in construction, hoping to provide a reference for future similar projects.

Based on the construction of the New Yangshi Tunnel, a section of the electrified speed-up reconstruction project in Zhe-Gan Railway, the author discusses and studies the construction technology employing annular excavation with core soil reserved method, together with the use of H175 steel frame as initial support in the shallow-buried and long-span railway tunnel in soft rock. Through the technical and economic comparison, it shows that the present method is faster, with the construction progress of 50m per month in average, and is more economical in construction than Center Diaphragm (CD) method with an investment of 4,000,000 Yuan having been saved.

Jack-up technology is widely used in aqueduct reconstruction projects. In this paper, a self-developed displacement synchronous automatic control jack-up technology is introduced for the upgrading and reconstruction project of super large aqueduct in South-to-North Water Diversion Project. A new large span aqueduct jack-up construction technology is proposed and studied, and the key technologies of different heights of the aqueduct are discussed. During the jack-up reconstruction of the Lihe Aqueduct from Taocha Canal Head to Shahenan Canal Project in the first phase of the middle route of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, the overall synchronous lifting of the aqueduct body was achieved by 72 cm, and then the aqueduct body was dropped proportionally. Finally, the jack-up reconstruction of the entrance section of the Lihe Aqueduct was achieved by 50 cm, and the exit section was not jack-up, and the middle section showed a linear change. The research results have a certain reference value for the reconstruction projects of similar structures with different heights at both ends.

On Job Training (OJT) is best for skill development and attitude change. Implementation of OJT which focuses on the transition of students to working life, however with little attention given to the process of assessment in OJT. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the OJT assessment problems among Construction Technology students in Malaysian Vocational College. The research design for this study uses a survey that was carried out qualitatively through semi-structured interviews among Construction Technology students, lecturers and experienced construction practitioners. From the data analysis, it has been identified that there is an inadequacy of OJT assessment rubric in assessing the skill and knowledge of the construction technology students. This has been contributed with the used of holistic rubric for the OJT assessment which has been designed to be use by every course in the Vocational College. The result also revealed that allocation of marks in the assessment rubric is not commensurate with some construct assessed and need to be reviewed. This study shows that an assessment rubric should emphasizes on specific knowledge and skills in assessing students’ competency during training program and in this case to produce competent site supervisor. In addition, a good assessment rubric should consider the tasks and marks thoroughly to avoid biasness among students. Therefore, it is suggested to carry out further study in investigating the validity and reliability of current industry’ OJT assessment rubric for the Construction Technology students.Key Words: On Job Training; Construction Technology; An assessment rubric; Competency; Validity and reliability.
