Closed-Circuit TV (CCTV) system is one of the technologies in the surveillance field to solve the problem of detection and monitoring by providing extra features such as email alert or motion detection. However, detecting and alerting the admin on CCTV system may complicate due to the complexity to integrate the main program with an external Application Programming Interface (API). In this study, pixel processing algorithm is applied due to its efficiency and SMS alert is added as an alternative solution for users who opted out email alert system or have no Internet connection. A CCTV system with SMS alert (CMDSA) was developed using evolutionary prototyping methodology. The system interface was implemented using Microsoft Visual Studio while the backend components, which are database and coding, were implemented on SQLite database and C# programming language, respectively. The main modules of CMDSA are motion detection, capturing and saving video, image processing and Short Message Service (SMS) alert functions. Subsequently, the system is able to reduce the processing time making the detection process become faster, reduce the space and memory used to run the program and alerting the system admin instantly.

Smart Energy Meters have significantly helped in easy reporting of energy consumption and the measurement of the same, since their introduction. They have replaced mainstream method of the house to house energy consumption data recording, but they are still reading with a lot of data inconsistencies between participating parties (energy suppliers and consumers). The purpose of this research is to develop a mobile web application with Internet of Things (IOT) and short message service (SMS) for consistent, transparent recording, monitoring of energy consumed, amount billed, infrastructure theft and meter control.  Arduino, sensors and relay modules are some of the hardware components used with communication application programming interface (API) accessed through the Wi-Fi module. The communication between the hardware and the server is the response based on different commands, which includes turning on and off, setting threshold, requesting consumption and even paid for consumed power. The app will enable the consumer monitor their current energy consumption through the web and android interface and remotely turn the meter on and off. Cell phones are now a cheap means of wide-ranged wireless communication. One feature widely used is the short message service (SMS). The cellular communication system is more appropriate for long-distanced applications than high speed data transfer. This study aims to develop a GSM modem interface with AVR microcontroller using C programming language. The tools controlled by the microcontroller system can gain more benefit if it is linked with GSM mobile communication system. The results of this study can be applied whether in a remote monitoring system, remote control system, or communication between the microcontroller via SMS. Many additional benefits can be obtained for the tools controlled by the microcontroller when connected to a GSM system.

The program gama-local is a part of GNU Gama project and allows adjustment of local geodetic networks. Before realization of this project the program gama-local supported only XML as an input. I designed and implemented support for the SQLite database and thanks to this extension gama-local can read input data from the SQLite database. This article is focused on the specifics of the use of callback functions in C++ using the native SQLite C/C++ Application Programming Interface. The article provides solution to safe calling of callback functions written in C++. Callback functions are called from C library and C library itself is used by C++ program. Provided solution combines several programing techniques which are described in detail, so this article can serve as a cookbook even for beginner programmers.  This project was accomplished within my bachelor thesis.

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini yaitu merancang dan mengimplementasikan sebuah perangkat lunak Aplikasi Rabies Alert System (RAS) Berbasis Short Message Service (SMS). Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu membantu masyarakat dalam pelaporan kasus rabies secara praktis, cepat terkait. dan mudah kepada dinas Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan rekayasa perangkat lunak yang diciptakan untuk dapat membangun sebuah aplikasi rabies control berbasis SMS di mana nantinya aplikasi ini dapat mengelola dan menampung seluruh laporan masyarakat tentang kasus rabies yang dikirim melalui SMS. SMS laporan kasus yang dikirim dari masyarakat akan langsung diteruskan kepada birokrasi penanganan sebuah kasus rabies seperti, bupati, camat, kepala desa, dan petugas dinas terkait dalam hal ini seluruh jajaran dinas peternakan sehingga laporan dari masyarakat dapat tertangani dengan cepat. Pengembangan media Aplikasi Rabies Alert System (RAS) Berbasis Short Message Service (SMS) ini menggunakan model Waterfall, dan dirancang dengan menggunakan Data Flow Diagram (DFD).Pengembangan media Aplikasi Rabies Alert System (RAS) Berbasis Short Message Service (SMS) ini diimplementasikan menggunakan software Adobe Dreamweaver CS 3 dan Mysql serta Gammu sebagai aplikasi SMS Gateway. Penelitian ini mengasilkaninformasi laporan kasus rabies dari masyarakat yang dikirimkan melalui SMS.

This paper presents a methodology for automatically generating a scene to be used in high fidelity robotic simulators. Modeling and simulation play an important role in the development and testing of robotic motion planning algorithms. Virtual Robotic Experimentation Platform (V-REP) is a robotic simulator that can be used to test state of the art robotics algorithms in environments called scenes. V-REP contains a remote application programming interface (API) for Matlab that allows for control of the simulation from the external application. Using this functionality, an algorithm was developed to automatically create simulation environments. Given the dimensions of the space, the desired total number of rooms, and a room configuration type, the algorithm organizes the layout of the space into a set of rooms and hallways. Using the remote capabilities provided by the Matlab V-REP API, the scene is opened, each of the models is loaded, and the models are put into the appropriate location. The result is a saved V-REP scene file that can be used for testing of any relevant mobile robotic applications. Ultimately this tool can play an important role in running parametric studies and Monte Carlo simulations to test the performance of various motion planning and coordination algorithms.

Patients with arrhythmia symptoms must undergo a healthy lifestyle and routinely conduct consultations and heart rate control with the doctor. The most important thing about this is the integrated health monitoring tool. In this study a portable heart rate monitoring tool is proposed for patients at risk of low-cost IoT-based with SMS alert system utilizing the OpenSID database. . Module ESP8266 Wi-Fi is used to communicate the web server gateway and pulse sensor to detect the heart rate which converted to Bit per Minute  (BPM). Heart rate data is saved to the database server using TCP IP communications. Patients and doctors can see heart rate information trough the website in real-time. Alert system will send notification information via short message service  (SMS ) to doctors, person in charge and family if heart rate below 60 BPM and above 100 BPM. the time needed for sending SMS is about 7 to 8 seconds. Test results show the whole system is running well. This tool is expected can accompany the risk patients do their activities safely and both doctors and families easier to supervise the patients.

Perkembangan yang sangat pesat terjadi pada bidang teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi saat ini mendorong masyarakta dunia memasuki era revolusi industri 4.0 yang serba cepat, sekaligus menjadikan informasi sentral dalam dunia industri maupun dunia usaha hingga dunia pendidikan. Akademi Teknik dan Keselamatan Penerbangan (ATKP) Medan merupakan institusi pendidikan di bawah naungan pemerintah yang sudah mulai menggunakan berbagai hal teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi. Dengan adanya perkembangan tersebut berdampak memeberikan fasilitas yang dapat digunakan oleh pengguna layanan komunikasi, dan informasi, seperti Short Message Service (SMS) hingga sistem berbasis aplikasi menggunakan smartphone android maupun iOS. Layanan aplikasi sms hingga sistem aplikasi tersebut adalah teknologi yang memungkinkan manusia untuk mendapatkan atau mengirimkankan informasi kapanpun dan dimanapun dibutuhkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sistem aplikasi monitoring evaluasi pelaporan kegiatan taruna di ATKP medan berbasis web app. Dalam pembuatannya, aplikasi ini disesuaikan dengan kenutuhan user/orang tua taruna dan institusi ATKP secara umum. Sistem aplikasi ini akan memberikan kemudahan kepada orang tua taruna dalam memonitoring, kegiatan hingga prilaku taruna selama pendidikan di ATKP Medan serta  kemudahan mengakses nilai dengan cepat. Sistem aplikasi ini dibuat dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman php (web).
