In the context of sustainable utilisation of valuable but neglected plant resources, a multifaceted study is presented herein for Greek native genotypes of elderberry (Sambucus nigra L., Caprifoliaceae), a species with an appreciated pharmaceutical and nutritional value. At the first phase, fresh plant materials (leaves, softwood cuttings) were collected from nine geographically separated genotypes originating from wild-growing Greek native germplasm of S. nigra. The leaf samples were genetically authenticated using DNA barcoding (ITS2). The next phase included the development of an asexual propagation protocol via cuttings which included screening of the collected genotypes in terms of propagation success, and further experimentation over a two-year period on a prioritised genotype. The propagation results highlighted the importance of external application of indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) rooting hormone at levels of 2000–4000 ppm, which consistently presented high rooting rates (100%) of summer softwood, leafy cuttings of apical or sub-apical type. At the same time, rooting quality in terms of root number and length as well as early plant growth after rooting, were improved by external hormone application resulting in high rates of plant survival. This study reports first-time data on multifaceted assessment of Greek native S. nigra genotypes on molecular authentication and asexual propagation, thus ultimately setting the basis for domestication and sustainable utilization of this species.

Ayurveda promises, a disease free, happy and long life. Among the eight branches of Ayurveda, each branch consists of enormous knowledge from basic concepts up to critical health care strategies. Shalya tantra a prime branch in Astanga Ayurveda is the rich in many aspects of modern surgical concepts. This branch has immense potential to belt the solution of many challenging and unresolved complicated surgical ailments. Acharya Sushruta the pioneer in the field of surgery described four principles therapeutic types in the management of Arshas i.e., Bheshaja, Kshara karma, Agni Karma and Shastra Karma.  Ayurvedic approach especially Kshara Karma stood for better than modern therapeutic option in terms of safety, easy, low cost, devoid of post operative complications and can be done as OPD procedure with minimal set up. Nimba pratisaraneeya kshara has been mentioned throughout the classical literature for Arsha, described as an Upakrama and is substitute for surgical procedure. Nimba pratisaraneeya teekshna kshara which is having antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties and is specially told by Acharya Sushruta. It can be successfully used in the management of Ardra Arshas without any post operative complications. Pratisaraneeya kshara is external application of Kshara whereas internal use of Kshara is known as Paniya kshara. Acharya Dalhana the commentator of Sushruta explained that the substance which produces Shodhana of bodily Dosha, Dhatu, Maladi because of its Ksharana action is called Kshara. It is known as Kshara (alkali) also because of its corrosive nature (Ksharana) Kshara is having benefits like Chedana, Bhedana, Lekhana, Shodhana and Ropana properties with early hemostasis and total eradication of infection, so that it reduces recurrence, helps for the wound healing and also  the duration of treatment is less. Though many researchers have been carried on Nimba till date, this review is done to highlight the significance of Kshara property in Nimba along with its therapeutic use

We introduce a python library for real-time fMRI (rtfMRI) data processing systems, Real-Time Processing System in python (RTPSpy), to provide building blocks for a custom rtfMRI application with extensive and advanced functionalities. RTPSpy is a library package including 1) a fast, comprehensive, and flexible online fMRI denoising pipeline comparable to offline processing, 2) utilities for fast and accurate anatomical image processing to define a target region on-site, 3) a simulation system of online fMRI processing to optimize a pipeline and target signal calculation, 4) interface to an external application for feedback presentation, and 5) a boilerplate graphical user interface (GUI) integrating operations with RTPSpy library. Since online fMRI data processing cannot be equivalent to offline, we discussed the limitations of online analysis and their solutions in the RTPSpy implementation. We developed a fast and accurate anatomical image processing script with fast tissue segmentation (FastSeg), image alignment, and spatial normalization, utilizing the FastSurfer, AFNI, and ANTs. We confirmed that the FastSeg output was comparable with FreeSurfer, and could complete all the anatomical image processing in a few minutes. Thanks to its highly modular architecture, RTPSpy can easily be used for a simulation analysis to optimize a processing pipeline and target signal calculation. We present a sample script for building a real-time processing pipeline and running a simulation using RTPSpy. The library also offers a simple signal exchange mechanism with an external application. An external application can receive a real-time neurofeedback signal from RTPSpy in a background thread with a few lines of script. While the main components of the RTPSpy are the library modules, we also provide a GUI class for easy access to the RTPSpy functions. The boilerplate GUI application provided with the package allows users to develop a customized rtfMRI application with minimum scripting labor. Finally, we discussed the limitations of the package regarding environment-specific implementations. We believe that RTPSpy is an attractive option for developing rtfMRI applications highly optimized for individual purposes. The package is available from GitHub (https://github.com/mamisaki/RTPSpy) with GPL3 license.

Under the current conditions of livestock development, the main task of farms is the systematic bacteriological control of milk and the development of comprehensive programs for the control and prevention of mastitis in cows. These measures will make it possible to establish control over this pathology, reduce veterinary treatment costs, improve milk quality, increase average hopes for lactation, increase the productive use of cows, and more. It was found that among the forms of clinical mastitis in the farm registered catarrhal and purulent-catarrhal (65.0 %), serous (12.0 %), and less often – fibrinous (11.5 %), hemorrhagic (11.0 %), and abscess udder (0.5 %). Bacteriological studies of milk taken from cows proved the presence of Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Escherichia coli, β-hemolytic Streptococcus spp. Microbiological studies showed that the isolated cultures of microorganisms were sensitive to tetracycline, neomycin, and cloxacycline; conditionally sensitive to streptomycin, doxycillin; no sensitivity to amoxicillin + clavulanic acid, norfloxacin and gatifloxacin. A treatment scheme was proposed for patients with purulent-catarrhal mastitis of cows, included intra-tank injections of the drug “Mastidev-Linko,” intramuscular injections of the drug “Tseftiodev 5%” and external application of the ointment “Dibutaliastin.” As a result of studies on the therapeutic efficiency of the proposed veterinary drugs when used in cows of Holstein-Friesian and black-spotted breed, patients with purulent-catarrhal mastitis, 91.6 % therapeutic efficiency of drugs was established. It is recommended that animals infected with infectious agents should be milked last and milking machines thoroughly disinfected; apply the pre- and post-milking treatment of udder teats with disinfectants (dips); periodically check in the laboratory the disinfecting ability of drugs for udder treatment and disinfection of accessories; use only proven tools; control the correct preparation of solutions and treatment of the udder with disinfectants (dips); to reject animals that do not respond to treatment (chronically ill).

Medical rehabilitation of children with chronic constipation is a complex system of measures, including: rational nutrition, drug therapy, physiotherapy, physical therapy, massage, et. The main tasks of medical rehabilitation are: normalization of the passage of fecal masses, tone of the sphincter apparatus of the rectum and pelvic floor muscles, restoration of the defecation reflex and reduction of astheno-vegetative disorders. The article describes the methods of physiotherapy used in the treatment of chronic constipation in combination with diet, daily routine, medication, physical therapy and massage: amplipulstherapy, interference therapy, percutaneous electroneurostimulation, high-intensity magnetic therapy, transcranial electrostimulation. Balneotherapy methods are widely used: internal and external application of mineral waters, as well as heat treatment and peloid therapy. Natural and artificial physical factors are assigned differentially, taking into account the type of intestinal motility disorders. One of the promising areas of modern physiotherapy is the study of the combined and combined use of two physical factors that increase the effectiveness of the program of medical rehabilitation of children with chronic constipation. Methods of medical and psychological correction are of great importance in the medical rehabilitation of children with chronic constipation.

In the article, the author tries to present what the specificity of the issue should consist of – the One and the Many in the aspect of the philosophy of art. For this purpose, he refers to the thought of H-G. Gadamer and Th. W. Adorno, showing the specificity of the existence of artistic objects and the necessity of the emergence of separate interpretations inscribed in it, which, however, have their source in the possibilitiesoffered by a work of art, and are not an external application of content, with a completely separate specificity of existence. When adapting philosophical content, he tries not to forget about the exemplification coming straight from the world of art.

The purpose of this study was to review randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of pes anserinus tendinitis or bursitis (PATB) syndrome in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure database to investigate the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine treatment for PATB syndrome. There were 20 RCTs published from 2001 to 2021 which were selected for analysis by publication year, number of samples, evaluation criteria, treatment duration, and treatment method. Out of the 142 retrieved RCTs, 20 were relevant to this review, and had performed Chinese medicine treatments including acupuncture (the most common treatment typically using acupoints SP10, ST35, SP9, and LR8), manipulation (typically using acupoints ST35, SP10, and SP9), and external application therapy (typically herbal medicine) in the treatment of PATB syndrome. Chinese medicine treatments were used widely in the treatment of PATB syndrome. We hope in the future, this review may initiate the development of treatments for PATB syndrome using Korean medicine.

Background: Granuloma annulare (GA) is a benign, self-limiting inflammatory skin condition of unknown origin that may occur following multiple etiological triggers. GA incited secondary to vaccinations has been rarely reported in the medical literature. The COVID-19 pandemic has introduced extensive global immunization against the SARS-COV-2 virus, bringing a gamut of vaccine-related complications. We elucidate a case report of the spontaneous eventuality of GA following ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 Corona Virus Recombinant Vaccine. Case Report: A healthy 26-year male presented with a one-week history of asymptomatic single, flesh-pink patch with a raised margin over his left ventral forearm. On close examination, the margin of the lesion had multiple annularly arranged papules. Biopsy of lesion was done, and histopathology revealed numerous palisading granulomas in the dermis consistent with findings of localized GA. The patient was managed with once-daily external application high potent topical corticosteroids, which was used intermittently by the patient. However, the lesion showed spontaneous resolution in one month. Conclusion: Identifying ChAdOx1 nCoV- 19 Vaccine-related adverse events following its first dose is paramount, as evidence of the proportion of local or systemic severe cutaneous adverse skin reaction (SCAR) on subsequent dosing is a paucity. A more extensive systematic review corroborating SCARs and safety profile following immunization with ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 Vaccine prevails to be the need of the hour.

Coumestrol is a natural organic compound synthesized in soy leaves and functions as a phytoalexin. The coumestrol levels in plants are reported to increase upon insect attack. This study investigates the correlation between coumestrol, senescence, and the effect of phytohormones on the coumestrol levels in soybean leaves. Our analysis involving high-performance liquid chromatography and 2-D gel electrophoresis indicated a significant difference in the biochemical composition of soybean leaves at various young and mature growth stages. Eight chemical compounds were specifically detected in young leaves (V1) only, whereas three different coumestans isotrifoliol, coumestrol, and phaseol were detected only in mature, yellow leaves of the R6 and R7 growth stage. MALDI-TOF-MS analysis was used to identify two proteins 3,9 -dihydroxypterocarpan 6A-monooxygenase (CYP93A1) and isoflavone reductase homolog 2 (IFR2) only in mature leaves, which are key components of the coumestrol biosynthetic pathway. This indicates that senescence in soybean is linked to the accumulation of coumestrol. Following the external application of coumestrol, the detached V1-stage young leaves turned yellow and showed an interesting development of roots at the base of the midrib. Additionally, the application of phytohormones, including SA, methyl jasmonate (MeJA), and ethephon alone and in various combinations induced yellowing within 5 days of the application with a concomitant significant increase in endogenous coumestrol accumulation. This was also accompanied by a significant increase in the expression of genes CYP81E28 (Gm08G089500), CYP81E22 (Gm16G149300), GmIFS1, and GmIFS2. These results indicate that various coumestans, especially coumestrol, accumulate during leaf maturity, or senescence in soybean.
