Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran bangun ruang SMP dengan pendekatan problem-based learning yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dilihat dari pencapaian kompetensi dasar, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan sikap terhadap matematika. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan model 4D yang meliputi tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan tahap disseminasi. Hasil penelitian berupa perangkat pembelajaran bangun ruang yang terdiri atas silabus, RPP, LKS, dan instrumen evaluasi berupa tes pencapaian kompetensi dasar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kevalidan perangkat mencapai kategori sangat baik ditinjau dari penilaian para ahli. Kepraktisan perangkat mencapai kategori sangat baik ditinjau dari penilaian guru, penilaian peserta didik, dan observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Aspek keefektifan dipenuhi dari tercapainya minimal 75% peserta didik lulus KKM ditinjau dari pencapaian kompetensi dasar dan berpikir kritis, serta lebih dari 80% peserta didik mempunyai sikap terhadap matematika dalam kategori tinggi. Dari kegiatan ekperimen diperoleh bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan lebih efektif daripada perangkat pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari pencapaian kompetensi dasar, berpikir kritis, dan sikap terhadap matematika. Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, pendekatan problem-based learning, bangun ruang SMP   DEVELOPNING SPACE LEARNING KITS IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL WITH PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING APPROACH Abstract This study was aimed to produce space learning kits with problem-based learning approach in Junior High School which was valid, practical, and effective based on achievement of basic competence, critical thinking skill, and attitude towards mathematics. This study was and development study using the 4D development model that included defining, designing, developing, and  disseminating phase. This study produced valid, practical, and effective space learning kits that consisted of syllabus, lesson plans, students’ worksheets, and assessment tests that included test of basic competence achievement and critical thinking test. Kits validity gets very good category from expert assessment. Kits practically gets very good category from teachers assessment, students assessment, and observation of learning implementation. The aspect of effectiveness was seen from achievement minimal 75% of the student pass the minimum score for achievement of basic competence and critical thinking skill, and more than 80% of student have attitude toward mathematics in high category. The result of experiment activity shows that the developed learning kits more effective than conventional learning kits based on achievement of basic competence, critical thinking, and attitude toward mathematics. The development of a descriptive text assessment instrument must be considered in the regularity of the questions in accordance with the question grid. Based on the results of observations at Junior High School (SMP) Methodist Charles Wesley Medan, the teacher gave a questionnaire only in the form of essay questions (explanations) even though, in tests or tests carried out it was actually not just essays, but multiple choices. Feasibility of Higher Order Thinking Skill-Based Descriptive Text Assessment Instruments which is Developed on 7th Grade Students of Junior High School (SMP) Methodist Charles Wesley Medan is eligible and suitable for use in learning. This study aimed to analyze the results of student books based on inquiry validation for class VIII Junior High School. Validation was done by 6 validators consisting of three lecturer and three teachers. Data obtained from the questionnaire validation. The questionnaire results were analyzed with descriptive analysis. The analysis showed that the average student book based inquiry validation results were 91.51 with very valid criteria. It can be concluded that the students books based on inquiry can be used to science teaching for students of class VIII Junior High School.

Profile of students’ creative thinking and conceptual understanding is essential to create an initial description of students’ competencies in overcoming their learning difficulties. The research aims to describe profile of concept understanding and creative thinking skills of 7thgrade students of all SMP Negeri (public junior high school) in Rasau Jaya sub-district, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan, Indonesia in photosynthesis content. The research uses qualitative descriptive method. The sampling technique employs disproportionate stratified random sampling. Samples consist of 143 students of 7th grade from three SMP Negeri in Rasau Jaya Sub-district, Kuburaya Regency, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The data collection technique utilizes creative thinking skill test in the form of an essay with fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration aspects. Students’ concept understanding test is in the form of four-tier diagnostic test. Data analysis employs descriptive statistics with percentage of creative thinking and conceptual understanding in categories of understanding, partial understanding, misconception, and not understanding. The creative thinking skill percentage of SMPN students in Rasau Jaya, Indonesia in the originality and flexibility aspect is in a fairly creative category, whereas in the elaboration and fluency aspect the category is still less creative. The highest percentage of students’ conceptual understanding is misconception of 45.25% and followed by an understanding of 30.64%, not understand of 13.2%, and partial understanding of 10.97%. The obtained data give evidence that natural sciences (IPA) learning knowledge among junior high school students, especially concept understanding and creative thinking, is still low. Therefore, teachers could develop students’ creative thinking skills so their concept understanding could be improved.

This research purpose to description students’ error in solving problem of two dimension and effort defragmentation. Error analysis which execute base on concept construction error theory that include logical thinking error and hole contruction. This research done execute on students junior high school at eight grade of SMP in Pasuruan who finished two dimension material. Research subject is chose by students who are did mistake considerate of finishing comprehensiveness of students problem base Newman’s steps. From the result research was found that the students’ concept construction error in solving problem is erroring logic thinking and contruction hole. Defragmenting that id did by researcher is giving conflict cognitive to repar logic thinking error and appear scheme which still not build through scaffolding to hole that occur on students’ thinking structure.

The provision of foundational knowledge special digital/ICT literacy as is much as 98.29%. The improvement of scientific literacy is in the “very good” category after they attend teaching activities implementing the project-based science teaching kit with the gain score of 15.37. The result of independent-sample t test shows that the developed project-based science teaching kit gives a significant effect to the increase of the scientific literacy of junior high school students. Keywords: science teaching kit, project-based learning, digital/ICT literacy, scientific literacy

The variety of culture in small islands of Sumenep regency has some uniqueness to be observed. For instance, the ethnic group in Masalembu island consist of  Bugis, Mandar, Button, Bajo, Java and Madurese. That culture variety (multiculture) need an education innovation especially in Islamic education at Masalembu Junior High School 1 Sumenep. Multiculture education is a learning way that is oriented to the process of making personality and attitude of students to make them understand about plurality, equality, and tolerance to others in the society. Furthermore, the writer try to observe about Multiculture Education at Masalembu Junior High School 1 Sumenep through a teaching model to Islamic education subject of Fiqh side which the students condition is vary in ethnic groups and culture. This research is a qualitative field research using descriptive approach. The data collection in this research using observation, interview, and documentation. The result of the research shows that Multiculture Education through acomodative strategy is a learning process that give knowledge to the students about culture, tradition, attitude patterns in society and become an identity for future progress of individually and the society itself.  Through this teaching strategy Multiculture Education can be applied in Masalembu Junior High School 1 Sumenep. Acomodative Learning Model at Masalembu Junior High School 1 Sumenep has a clear lesson plan, so that students able to have appreciatiation and positive impact to the students who has different culture in the classroom and able to understand the culture variety in their society. The students’ appreciation in the classroom shows that they have pluralist attitude. There is no differences or similarity and tolerance to their friends inside or outside the classroom. Whereas, the appreciation of students to the society shows that the students able to understand the differences between Islamic education of Fiqh side that they received at school and the plurality of culture in their society.

The importance of resolving the problem of reducing students’ burden is to establish in the classroom. Through exploring the micro-research, the author found that the class must be delightful, enjoyable, and well-regulated so that students could be fond of learning, enjoy learning, and be good at learning. In teaching, appropriately using the analogy is one of the practical methods. The analogy can motive students to have learning interests, enlighten their thinking, and expand their horizons. Applying analogy appropriately can promote students to understand scientific concepts, principles, and regulations. In this way, students will improve their learning efficiency. It is significant to reduce students’ burden and improve teaching quality. This paper elaborated the application of analogy in junior high school’s Science teaching from four aspects: connotation, function, application principle, and development approach. From the micro-research of analogy, this paper aims to improve teaching efficiency, reduce students’ load, and provide other educators with examples.
