For designing forging and die tooling for bulk forging a necessity in using the data of the geometry of the part produced arises. Obviously, the use as a data source for designing drawings of commonly applied in “manual alternate design” (without a computer) especially such complex parts as compressor blades is not perspective because of the complexity of developing theoretical contour specified by a point cloud. In this case the use of special tooling of direct modeling that provides changing the original model of the part developed by the designers is a perspective one. It should be taken into account during the process of forging and die tooling designing that it is necessary to register the special features of the technology, upon that, the technologist should be highly proficient in using the software. The work given describes the designing technique of gas turbine compressor blade with the account of using the potential of NX Siemens program.

Multi-access edge computing implementations are ever increasing in both the number of deployments and the areas of application. In this context, the easiness in the operations of packet forwarding between two end devices being part of a particular edge computing infrastructure may allow for a more efficient performance. In this paper, an arithmetic framework based in a layered approach has been proposed in order to optimize the packet forwarding actions, such as routing and switching, in generic edge computing environments by taking advantage of the properties of integer division and modular arithmetic, thus simplifying the search of the proper next hop to reach the desired destination into simple arithmetic operations, as opposed to having to look into the routing or switching tables. In this sense, the different type of communications within a generic edge computing environment are first studied, and afterwards, three diverse case scenarios have been described according to the arithmetic framework proposed, where all of them have been further verified by using arithmetic means with the help of applying theorems, as well as algebraic means, with the help of searching for behavioral equivalences.


The technology has grown at an ultra-fast pace along with the world. Small devices with less power and high efficiency are in demand. As the circuit size gets smaller, the power requirement increases due to a greater number of transistors. A pre-scaler is a circuit which reduces the high frequency signal to a low frequency signal by integer division. A new approach to low power pre-scaler is proposed in this paper, which is an add-on to the conventional pre-scaler circuit. A true single-phase clock (TSPC) circuit reduces the skew problems in the clock and is used to realize latches and flip-flops. The objective of low power is fulfilled by incorporating the Adaptive Voltage Level Source (AVLS) to TSPC based circuit. The proposed AVLS-TSPC based pre-scaler was analyzed for a frequency of 10 MHz with a supply voltage of 1.8 V for both divide by 2 and 3 modes. The proposed pre-scaler consumes considerably lesser power when compared to that of the existing pre-scaler circuit. The circuits are implemented in 180 nm CMOS technology using Cadence Virtuoso and simulated using Cadence Spectre.

This study aims to explore the students’ mathematical understanding in integer division operation through the context of archipelago traditional cakes in class VII. This research is related to the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMRI) as a learning approach used. The methodology used in this study is Design Research consisting of three stages: preliminary design, experimental design, and retrospective analysis. The study was conducted on VII grade students of Palembang 1 Junior High School. The learning path (Hypothetical Learning Trajectory) in design research plays an important role as a research design and instrument. The Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) was developed together with a series of activities using the context of archipelago traditional cakes such as: omelette roll, bakpia, milk pie, etc. The medium used in this study was the Students’ Activity Sheet. The results of this study indicate that exploration using the context of traditional archipelago cakes can help students understanding in multiplication and division of integers. The conclusion of this study is the use of archipelago traditional cakes as starting point in mathematics learning in integer division operation material helps the students to explore their understanding in solving mathematics problems.
