Accompanying infrastructure improvements and networking technology innovation, the development of digital home service industry has gotten more and more attention. However, the digital home service levels have not sufficiently met rising demand from users. Therefore, it is urgent to propose and develop new service modes for the digital home. Geographic information services can provide various spatial information services such as map search, spatial information query. It has become an inevitable trend to implement geographic information services in the digital home. This paper proposes three new geographic information services modes for the digital home after sufficient requirement analysis: pushed information service mode, interactive information service mode, personalized information service mode. The key technologies to implement geographic information services on digital televisions are studied, involving digital television middleware technology, network transmission technology and visualization technology. According to the service modes’ characteristics mentioned above, a service system in the digital home is established to implement geographic information services on the basis of digital television. The implementation of geographic information services in the digital home not only enriches the digital home services content, but also promotes geographic information from specialization to public popularity.

The birth of mobile geographic information service (GIS) is introduced first, which is coming from the value-added service requirements in third generation (3G) telecommunications and functionally supported by geographic information system technologies. Then the history of mobile geographic services coming from mobile GIS (MGIS) is introduced. The present turning inside-out model of mobile geographic information service is discussed. The future developing trends of mobile geographic information services supported by ubiquitous computing research is proposed. The overview of mobile geographic information service is summarized in the conclusion, and the relationships and fusions between location-based services (LBS) and mobile geographic information services are discussed.

Because of lacking detailed metadata information in the traditional geospatial data, it would lead to being short of part semantic information. Facing the demand of interoperability in growing application of geographic information service, Ontology technology is regarded as one of Effective approach to solve the question of data heterogeneous and interoperability. So in this paper, it would use some new theory and methods of ontology into geographic Information Services, which would solve the difficulties of the geographical spatial data integration. Facing the demand of interoperability in growing application of geographic information service, Ontology techology is widely noticed in the past few years, and is regarded as one of Effective approach to solve the question of data heterogeneous and interoperability. Using the mapping of concepts and attributes, ontology expresses practical geographic space in Semantic level, analyzing the structure and content of geographical spatial database and setting up corresponding domain ontology. At last , it use some logical operations to solve the question of data heterogeneous and interoperability. So in this paper, it would use some new theory and methods of ontology into geographic Information Services, which would solve the difficulties of the geographical spatial data integration.

The progress of science and technology leads the development of the Times, the construction of smart city cannot do without the support of basic geographic data of Surveying and mapping. Under the background of the development of urbanization, many advanced science and technology have been integrated into the development of various industries, China has already entered the era of intelligent city development, the traditional surveying and mapping geographic information service model has been unable to meet the development needs of the society, and relevant departments need to innovate and optimize it. The paper mainly analyzes the relevant content of the surveying and mapping geographic information service model in the context of smart cities.
