We sketch our languages and develop teaching skills Abstract: Are sensorial and plastic activities appropriate tools to develop language awareness and intercultural skills, in a college of education? To answer this question, we ask students to express their sensorial and affective experience of a language they choose: scrutinizing their productions enables us to see the impact of this activity, regarding their metalinguistic reflection and their receptiveness to linguistic and cultural plurality.

Abstract This article aims to understand the ordinary management of the resistances and forms of survival, organized in everyday practices that are in part product and producers of cultural plurality in the field of handicrafts in the city of Piúma, Brazil. From the perspective of practice-based studies (Feldman & Orlikowski, 2011), we articulate theoretically the approach of ordinary management (Carrieri, Perdigão & Aguiar, 2014) of craft production (Sennett, 2009) and the certeaunian contributions. These contributions are directed towards the recognition of the games of force relations within a cultural plurality. In proposing the focus on this plurality, this article fills a gap, because in previous studies on ordinary management, this cultural plurality has not been specifically addressed. The proposal was supported by a qualitative research, accomplished through document collection, participant observation, and unstructured interviews with five artisans from Piúma. In the analysis of the data, we articulate the narrative practice in De Certeau (1985) and narrative temporality in Ricoeur (1994). As results, we identify different networks of force relations in which artisans are involved in organizing practices of ordinary management. In them, cultures have shown themselves as plural productions, moving away from the view of a popular culture, external to everyday practices or submissive to other external pressures. This article contributes to an alternative view at the Ordinary Management of handicrafts and other organizational actions based on cultural plurality.

Palabras clave: Comunidad Societal – Evolucionismo – Diferenciación – Cambio social Abstract In the last stage of his theoretical production, Parsons develops a general system that tries to explain the evolution of human societies. He proposes the notion of Societal Community to solve the problem of Integration within a Social System that presents developed institutional differentiation and cultural plurality. In this article, we will trace the critical readings of Alexander and Mouzelis on the parsonian scheme of Social Change. We’ll approach the theoretical problems that both of them observe and evaluate their proposal. Our main task is to find out if Alexander and Mouzelis manage to avoid the difficulties of the evolutionist framework and liberate the Societal Community from its inner tensions. Keywords: Societal Community – Evolutionism – Differentiation – Social Change

The work raises the relevance of the essay and literary production of Juan Benet (1927-1993) as dissent and resistance to intellectual poverty in post-war Spain. Although there are authors who consider their aesthetic formalism as elitist and far from social reality, we intend to show how this position constitutes an ethic of dissensus and resistance with respect to the factual power and a continuity with the richness and cultural plurality under the previous Republic. It is argued that the primary method used by the author is dialogism, the text constituting a kind of battleground of ideas in opposition and in continuous struggle. Finally, Benet’s critical thinking also serves as a bridge in the democratic construction of the country in the 1970s, but it is also seen as very topical in the crisis of values in today’s world.
