The information technology (IT) industry has a relatively short history in global markets but can put claim to a disproportionate number of “business innovations” that it either participated in or has been the catalyst for. Concepts such as business process re-engineering (BPR), supply chain management (SCM), IT outsourcing (ITO), business process outsourcing (BPO), off-shoring and now multisourcing are tightly associated with the IT industry. The growth in the services economy and rapid escalation in the use of alliances and joint ventures for business growth is also clearly evident in the IT sector. A characteristic of an industry being a leader in the introduction of new business concepts is that it gets to experience both the excitement of forging new paths but unfortunately also the pain of unfulfilled aspirations.

Information technology advancements integrated with the e-commerce supply chain allow participants in the business process to effectively work with large volumes of data and control transactions. To improve the profitability and competitiveness of e-commerce companies, a blockchain solution was incorporated into the global B2B (Business-to-Business) supply chain. This technology simplified the transaction process by providing all participants in the sustainable B2B buying process with the same data about the trade. Overall, the use of blockchain improved the efficiency of logistics and digital documentation which reached 74% and 75%, respectively. The main advantage of using blockchain is that it creates a decentralized database that is secure. In addition, it increases the speed of payment and the reliability and transparency of data transfer. Further research may focus on the use of blockchain in green logistics to improve environmental sustainability in the e-commerce supply chain.

Customer relationship management (CRM) aims to unite information technology with marketing in purpose of increasing customer satisfaction. This system can respond efficiently to changes in customer desires, thereby strengthening revenue through reducing marketing costs. The development and implementation of CRM require a series of processes that allow customer analysis to be carried out so that companies can identify each customer individually. The company knows which customers have the potential to deliver huge profits and those ones which are a loss. The concept of CRM is in addition to the development of information technology which is increasingly adding to the variety of business applications. It is an interesting business process to discuss. Customer relationship management covers all aspects related to the company's interactions with its customers. There are four CRM strategy matrix approaches, namely customer-based marketing, individualised CRM, product-based selling, and managed service support.

Winning the Top 500 World Brands in 2018, Tesla is working hard to cover a variety of categories including high-end sports cars and luxury cars. As a leader in the "new car movement", Tesla from Silicon Valley is committed to building cars with IT concepts, and it is not a traditional car manufacturer's thinking represented by Detroit. This paper undertakes a full marketing audit to evaluate Tesla’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to many other car manufacturers using PEST, SWOT and USP models. Based on the above issues, the business process of external supply chain management is proposed: information-technology outreach, upstream management of docking, overall coordination and co-existence, and analysis of node elements and evaluation schemes are feasible. Besides, the recent accidents regarding the brake caliper bolts failure, battery charging, and pilot driving are also mentioned in this review. Corresponding recommendations are also provided for the improvement of moral images in the end.
