SMKN 3 Gowa  adalah salah satu sekolah  yang sudah menerapkan teknologi informasi. Untuk memudahkan kinerja sekolah dalam pelayanan masyarakat, SMKN 3 Gowa mengadopsi sebuah inovasi proses Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) secara online. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya masih banyak permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh user baik yang bersifat  teknis maupun non teknis. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan evaluasi terhadap penerapan PPDB Online guna mengetahui seberapa baik sistem informasi dapat beroperasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi  pelaksanaan PPDB Online menggunakan Innovation and Diffusion Theory (IDT). Terdapat lima karakteristik yang digunakan sebagai  kerangka umum faktor penentu diterimanya sebuah inovasi yaitu relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan diperoleh informasi bahwa dengan adanya penerapan teknologi informasi PPDB online menjadikan proses pendaftaran dalam menyaring nilai lebih transparan dan terpusat. Namun dalam menerapkan sistem informasi tersebut belum sepenuhnya berjalan dengan baik, masih ada berbagai kendala yang dihadapi di antaranya infrastruktur jaringan internet  yang kurang memadai, kurangnya pengenalan dan pelatihan secara insentif dan kurang memperhatikan kebutuhan penggunaan terhadap sistem tersebut.

In the 19th century the population of the Faeroe Islands grew from 5,200 in the 1801 census to 15,200 in the 1901 census. The leading question in this paper is derived from this fact. What was the material and ideological background for this profound change that caused changes in all parts and corners of the society? This leads to the problem definition: ”Where did the new things and thoughts come from, and who came with them?” Theories on innovation and diffusion are implemented in the analysis. In the 1st section of the paper the situation in the Faeroese society is described with concrete examples. The 2nd section applies the diffusion theory with the concepts carriers and barriers. The 3rd section adds the concepts base and superstructure that are coupled with the already mentioned concepts in the second section. In the 4th section some concepts and methods from economic geography, population potential and threshold values are presented and used. In the ending an effort to quantify the innovation process is presented. This leads to a recapitulation of concepts in the foregoing sections, but also to new questions as the result of these, especially figure 4, are unforeseen and provoking. A society as the Faeroese, tiny in scale and remote in location, and therefore with a low population potential, cannot be expected to produce many ”things and thoughts” by itself. In the 5th section some local persons of virtue are mentioned, as well as a row of civil servants who all came from mainland Denmark. These were carriers of ideas from the European enlightenment movement and other ideas that widened the material base of the growing population. The legal base, laws and statutory elements, that changed the possibility for the landless class to acquire land came from outside, from the King, and generally the barriers were the local land-owning class. A main point in this process of change is the introduction of the Amtmand, the Governor of Prefect, in 1816, that was the beginning of the setting up of a local centralized administration. Later, with the Danish Constitution coming into force in 1849, the first democratic assembly on the Faeroe Islands was elected. Further, the Constitution had no place for the Royal Monopoly Trade; it was abolished in 1856.

The e-commerce market has grown tremendously in India over the last few years across all product categories and industry verticals. In this chapter, an attempt has been made to identify and explore the two factors that influence the success of adoption of e-commerce by apparel selling firms in India. The explored factors are the consumer internet self-efficacy (derived from compatibility) and user friendliness of websites (derived from trialability). Further, relationship between the factors and their influence on the successful adoption of e-commerce has been analysed through structured equation modelling (SEM) technique. Thus, this research study adds on to earlier research studies pertaining to innovation and diffusion theory. The findings will be helpful for the decision makers and managers in recognizing the most important circumstances under which the apparel selling firms will go for e-commerce adoption.

Abstract Objectives Utilizing policy innovation and diffusion theory, this study aims to explain why city governments adopt housing adaptation policies that primarily benefit older people based on the case of China. Methods The data are drawn from an event history data set of a housing adaptation policy for older people collected from 283 Chinese cities from 2010 to 2018. Piecewise constant exponential models are utilized. Results The results indicate that cities facing greater internal pressure and a higher political status are more likely to adopt a housing adaptation policy for older people. Policy adoption by neighboring cities could further facilitate this process. Discussion Policy innovation and diffusion theory provide a useful framework for this study. That is, the Chinese city government’s adoption of housing adaptation policy for older adults is initially driven by local needs and then accelerated by interactions among neighboring governments.

Determinan Minat Individu Menggunakan Layanan Financial Technology LinkAja dengan Kerangka Innovation Diffusion Theory. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat individu menggunakan atau mengadopsi layanan fintech LinkAja dengan kerangka Innovation Diffusion Theory (IDT). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan sampel penelitian sebanyak 400 pengguna layanan fintech LinkAja di Indonesia yang diperoleh dengan teknik probability sampling. Analisis data dengan menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS statistics 20. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor relative advantage, compatibility, trialability, dan observability berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap niat mengadopsi layanan financial technology LinkAja, sedangkan complexity tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap niat mengadopsi LinkAja.
