Estimating and Planning is very important for the success of any project, it is the key factor to its successful conclusion. In software project management there has been a shift from traditional plan management to agile project management. Agile project management has been viewed as the new big change in the software industry. The Project Management Institute (PMI) was founded in 1969 and offers industry-leading certifications for project management professionals. PMI, which was traditionally best known for its traditional project management certifications, has just recently started offering an agile alternative. It can certainly be said that Planning poker is becoming the new standard for software development projects. The concept of it has been around for some time, and although knowledge and usage are increasing. Understanding when to use it and which success factors to consider is important to achieve success. Terminologies: ● User - a user participating in Poker Planning. ● Group - A group of users participating in Poker Planning. ● Poker board - a Dashboard where users would be playing the game. ● Ticket - A Ticket is a JIRA issue. As the use of software is present in so many activities today, it is important for business in particular to be aware of challenges that may seem different today than before the prevalence of software in our lives. Agile project management is one example: this more recent and nimble approach to software development presents its own challenges. Fortunately, the guiding legal principles related to traditional contract formation and execution are based in principles of fairness and equity, making the customization of legal principles to Agile contracting a reasonable endeavor. This chapter presents basic contract law and such law as it more specifically relates to contracts dealing with Agile software development.

Agile project management is an iterative approach that allows you to plan and guide project processes that require special speed and flexibility to achieve project success. It is for this reason that today professionals must master the basic concepts of this work as disciplinary or professionalizing competence. The objective of the study lies mainly in compiling recent research, including the last three years, in relation to Agile Software Project Management, its current situation and its application in practice. The study shows the implementation of the methodology proposed by Kitchenham for the systematic literature review (RSL) analyzing 40 scientific publications, concluding that the agile management of software projects allows efficient and effective management with the application of a standard o priority methodology and with the unavoidable use of software tools of specific use for it.

The construction industry is dynamic in nature because it involves a wide number of stakeholders, such as consumers, manufacturers, consultants, regulators and others. Construction projects suffer from many challenges and complex performance issues, such as low coordination, job delays, changes in goals. Study on the contrast of conventional and modern methodologies for project management in construction projects. Introduction of Agile project management approach as modern project management methodology and its framework effects on construction project performance. With the use of Agile software development tools comparison of individuals experts and team solutions will be analyzed and evaluate optimum solutions and their comparison with traditional project management tools. In traditional project management, validation of the results has been done through survey of the experienced experts. However, as agile software development tools Jira and Trello software would be used for managing project. Analysis of the research will compare traditional and agile project management tools and suggest the project management team an optimum solution of any problem occur at construction project.

Agile Software Development plays a quintessential part in modern day software development. The term Agile refers to frequent reassessment and adaptation of plans and techniques and dividing tasks into shorter tasks for efficiency. Agile Software Development differs considerably from Traditional Software Development Methodology. Agile methodology aims to deliver features of a software project in small steps within a short duration of time (i.e., iterations). Hence, it becomes necessary to use agile software development methodology in todays’ fast-paced revolutionizing software industry. This paper discusses the important subtopics of Agile Software Development which gathered by reviewing/surveying of research papers. First, is the Agile Planning Life Cycle which consists of various stages such as pre-planning, planning, release planning and product backlog management. In the next section, principles such as Scrum, Extreme Programming, Kanban and Lean are discussed. The last section comprises the impact of Agile principles on software quality.

The practical applications of agile methods and their impact on the productivity and efficiency of software development dominate the agile literature. We analyzed 827 academic articles with bibliometric techniques to explore the role project management research played in the development of the academic agile discourse. Bibliometric analyses over two time periods reveal that project management–related topics form a distinct stream of research in the second time period but not in the first. Furthermore, our results reveal that the academic agile discussion has been mainly unidirectional. This situation offers many opportunities for project management researchers to contribute to the agile discourse.

As business competition increases, there is pressure on software development projects to become more productive and efficient. Previous research has shown that quality planning is a key factor in enhancing project performance. Thus, this article reports on the successful development and implementation of a tool (QPLAN) that enhances software development project performance by evaluating the planning quality of any type of software project and introducing best planning practices (such as references from historical data) that suggest how to manage projects in an appropriate manner, including encompassing lessons learned and involving the customer in the development process. This is applied research aimed at solving a real problem; thus, Design Science Research was adopted as the research methodology and the design science research process (DSRP) model was selected to conduct it. This artifact was designed for the project management literature, and implemented and validated in 11 organizations in five countries.
