Tomatoes ripen relatively quickly, so tomato farmers must be able to properly sort the tomatoes for distribution. Farmers typically sort the tomatoes by hand. Tomato farmers are generally experts at manually sorting tomatoes, but humans have many limitations, such as being tired and unfocused. Because these issues can lead to inconsistencies and inaccuracies in sorting, a tool is required to help with the process. As a result, it is necessary to create an Android application to aid in the sorting process. The reason for using Android as a platform is that it is a tool that a large number of people own. The LVQ algorithm is used as a learning algorithm to find the best model for tomato recognition. To build the model, the algorithm requires features. Colors with Hue, Saturation, and Value (HSV) are used. The Personal eXtreme Programming (PXP) system development methodology was used to create applications that recognize the level of ripeness of tomatoes. Unified Modeling Language (UML) is the analytic tool of choice. The application was successfully developed on the Android platform based on the test results. The application's use results in an accuracy of 80%. Green and red tomatoes are the most well-known types of tomatoes. Turning tomatoes are difficult to identify because many of them are mistaken for green tomatoes. In this paper, we introduce the development methodology of a reliable centralized control applied to a synchronous permanent magnet machine. The proposed system is nonlinear, we linearize around a point of application. The resulting model will then be used to reproduce the dynamic behavior of the machine for a reliable control. The controller is based on the standard h infinite to increase performance, reduce measurement noise, and to tolerate the outage of certain sensors. To illustrate the results, we made a comparison between a standard state feedback control and reliable h infinite robust control. The simulation results shows, that the system in case of technical placements poles loses classic performance in the presence of an outage, that the reliable centralized robust control remain satisfactory performance even in the presence of outage.

Software engineering has been an active working area for many decades. It evolved in a bi-folded manner. First research and subsequently development. Since the day of its inception, the massive number of variants and methods of software engineering were proposed. Primarily, these methods are designed to cater the time-varying need of modern approach. In this connection, the Global Software Engineering (GSE) is one of the growing trends in the modern software industry. At the same time, the employment of Agile development methodologies has also gained the significant attention in the literature. This has created a rationale to explore and adopt agile development methodology in GSE. It gained rigorous attention as an alternative to traditional software development methodologies. This paper has presented a comprehensive review on the adaptation of modern agile practices in GSE. In addition, the strength and limitation of each approach have been highlighted. Finally, the open area in the said domain is submitted as one of the deliverables of this work.

The concept-knowledge theory or C-K design theory explains that creativity is the conceptualization of design that is independent of any other design domain. It explains innovation, creation, and discovery within the framework of design processes. Creativity is an integral part of engineering design. The QFD methodology is applied to construct the “engineering design and creativity course” at the faculty of engineering as per the various stakeholders of curriculum design. The suggested methodology satisfies accreditation requirements as a part of continuous improvement of curriculum. The QFD course design methodology integrates the learning outcome with the assessment methodologies, learning processes and knowledge elements well. The course is a strategic fit with the vision 2030 and curriculum. The course development methodology as suggested minimize learning deficiencies. It is measured by course mapping with learning outcome.

Software development has been considered a socio-technical activity over the past decades. Particularly, in the case of software engineering, the necessity to communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members has been progressively emphasized. Human resources play a critical role in the success of software projects. Many techniques, methods, tools, models, and methodologies have been proposed, applied, and improved in order to help and ease the management of the software development process. Regardless of the software development methodology adopted, delivering a quality product in a predictable, efficient, and responsive manner is the objective for every team. Disciplined and Agile teams have different characteristics, but also share common aspects when working to accomplish their goals. The main motivation of this chapter is to present the differences and similarities of both teams in the context of software development.

The fatigue life curves of materials are very sensitive to the magnitude of the stress amplitude. A small change or inaccuracy in the determination of the stress value causes large changes or inaccuracies in the calculated fatigue life estimate. Therefore, the use of computer simulations for fatigue life estimation requires a proper model development methodology. The paper is devoted to the problem of the modeling of components in notches using FEM. The modeling parameters significantly influencing the obtained stress results have been defined. Exact analytical solutions served as a benchmark for comparing the accuracy of the stress values obtained using FEM models. For the selected 2D and 3D notched components, diagrams were created for sensitivity analysis of the influence of the mesh element density at the root of the notch in correlation with the exact analytical solution. The findings from model building were applied to model the stress concentration at the root of a V-weld joint in a gas pipeline.

History lessons in Indonesia are taught starting from Elementary School (SD) level. One of materials taught in elementary schools is a national hero figure who has greatly contributed to Indonesian nation. Several images of heroes were immortalized on Indonesian banknotes. The learning method that is carried out only with printed books and lectures tends to make students bored and quickly feel sleepy. In a site like this, interesting learning media is needed. This study seeks to build an android-based application using Augmented Reality technology, using banknotes as markers to produce 3D animation applications that speak about heroes and their historical backgrounds. This application development methodology uses an Incremental model which consists of 4 stages, namely: Analysis, design, code, and testing. Distributed questionnaires get results; Strongly Disagree = 0%, Disagree = 0%, Agree = 43%, and Strongly Agree = 57%. These results indicate that the overall system is running well and feasible to use
