Aim: This report discusses root and endodontic treatment as well as dental endodontic treatment of remaining roots using hemisection.    An array of prosthetic approaches is described. Methodology: These two case reports describe multidisciplinary prosthetic restoration of teeth using a hemisection procedure. Results: It was possible to obtain successful results in problematic cases where the root failed to respond to endodontic treatment using a multidisciplinary approach combining endodontic treatment with restorative or prosthetic restorations of the intact root. Conclusions: Hemisection is a suitable alternative approach to extraction for the effective and conservative treatment of affected teeth using periodontal and endodontic treatment.  How to cite this article: Falakaloglu S, Adiguzel O, Oztekin F, Deger Y, Ozdemir G. Aim: The aim of this case report is to present a series of anatomical variations and endodontic treatments in four two-canal mandibular premolar teeth and three rooted three-canal maxillary second premolar teeth with root canal treatment indications identified via clinical and radiographic examinations. The success of root canal treatment is achieved with a thoroughly examined root canal morphology that has been accurately determined radiographically and clinically before adequate shaping, irrigation, and hermetic filling procedures. Root canals that are not found or not adequately disinfected can cause root canal treatment failure and complications, such as pain, swelling, or persistent fistula, also known as flare-up, after treatment. Canal variations in the teeth were detected via periapical radiographs during the root canal instrumentation stage. Methodology: The endodontic treatments of four two-canal mandibular premolar teeth and one triple-rooted three-canal maxillary second premolar with root canal treatment indications were described. Conclusion: To achieve full success in root canal treatment, anatomical variations should be examined in detail before and during treatment, and treatment should be completed with appropriate techniques.   How to cite this article: Dinger E, Bodrumlu E. Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) is an obsessive preoccupation with a perceived defect in one’s physical appearance for which the individual persistently seeks medical attention and surgical correction. This preoccupation can be persistent and pervasive, leading to social withdrawal.  A dentist may be the first health care worker who has an opportunity to intervene and assist these people in getting treatment. Patients may have unrealistic expectations for certain procedures, so assessing their psychological status is an important part of treatment planning and diagnosis. Patient expectations should be determined, and the ability to provide care that meets those expectations should be discussed. In the case reports, aesthetic treatments with composite resin restorations of three patients with BDD are reported. The cases highlight the need for dentists to be educated on this disorder so that they can recognize and refer accordingly. There is also a need for interdisciplinary interactions between the dentist and the psychologist. How to cite this article: Sezgin Bolgül B, Ağaçkıran E, Tümen EC, Ayna Y, Çelenk S, Ayna B. Aim: Endodontic surgery is a treatment for persistent peri-radicular pathological conditions that do not improve after endodontic treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality of endodontic treatment, technical error types seen in root canals and the periapical condition of the teeth in patients undergoing periapical surgery, and thus to analyze the reasons leading to periapical surgery. Methodology: Clinical and radiographic data of 301 periapical surgery cases were retrospectively evaluated in this study. The causes of periapical surgery were classified into technical and biological reasons. Results: In this study, 51.8 % of periapical surgery cases were related to biological factors and 48.2 % were related to technical factors. Maxillary anterior teeth were the most common teeth undergoing apical surgery with a rate of 66,8 %.  The most common technical reasons were non-homogeneous filling (15,6 %), underfilling (12,0 %) and overfilling (9,6 %). The most common biological reasons were cysts (30,2 %), traumas (16,6 %) and apical abscess (5,0 %).  37.5% of cases undergoing periapical surgery, the diameter of the cystic lesion was 10mm or more. Conclusion: The number of cases of apical periodontitis is increasing in the community due to insufficiently filled root canals. Increasing the quality of root canal treatments applied by dentists will reduce the need for periapical surgery by reducing the incidence of apical periodontitis.   How to cite this article: Ekici Ö. method for treating mandibular prognathism, distraction osteogenesis (DO) of the maxillary complex is an alternative approach. Methodology: The clinical and radiological examinations of a 29-year-old male revealed maxillary retrognathism and mandibular prognathism without a vertical abnormality. The patient was treated with maxillary advancement by DO and mandibular setback surgery. Results: Long-term functional muscle exercises were scheduled. No relapse has occurred. Conclusions: We believe that the patient’s cooperation and commitment to the functional exercise program played the most important role in the long-term success.  How to cite this article: Apaydın A, Yenigün S, Can T.
