The steady state and dynamic characteristics of a two-stage pressure relief valve with proportional solenoid control of the pilot stage is studied theoretically as well as experimentally. The mathematical model is studied within the MATLAB-SIMULINK environment and the non-linearities have been considered via the use of appropriate SIMULINK blocks. The detailed modelling has resulted in a good comparison between simulation and measurement, albeit assumptions had to be made regarding the solenoid dynamic characteristic based upon practical experience. The use of this characteristic combined with additional dynamic terms not previously considered allows new estimations of internal characteristics to be made such as the damping flowrate. The overall dynamic behaviour has been shown to be dominated by the solenoid characteristic relating force to applied voltage.

A reduced-scale model of 7-story reinforced concrete shear wall structure is made. Shaking-table test of the model is carried out. Two test conditions are considered. In the first condition, fixed base is used. In another condition, soil structure interaction is considered. According to the experimental results, the dynamic characteristic and seismic performance of shear wall structure is studied. The acceleration time history response of model structure is obtained. Based on the time-history response, the dynamic characteristics of model structure are studied by spectrum analysis. The Finite Element Model of actural structure is established by ANSYS. The dynamic characteristics and seismic performance of actural structure are studied. By comparing the experiment results and numerical analysis results under the fixed-base condition, the rationality of the ANSYS model and numerical analysis method of are verified.

This paper is concerned with an analysis of the dynamic characteristics of the high performance launcher—rarefaction wave gun(RAVEN) by numerical simulation. Based on its launch mechanism and launch structure, a rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model which considered the coupling effect between the flexible virbation of the launch barrel and the motion behaviors of the other parts of the RAVEN is established via a subsystems method. The actual motion of the projectile and inertial breech during the lauching are described by the interior ballistic equations of the RAVEN. The dynamic characterisitcs of RAVEN is illustrated by the numerical simulation about a small caliber launcher, and the interaction between launch barrel and the other parts is also studied.
