The behaviour of steady transonic dense gas flow is essentially governed by two non-dimensional parameters characterising the magnitude and sign of the fundamental derivative of gas dynamics ($\unicode[STIX]{x1D6E4}$) and its derivative with respect to the density at constant entropy ($\unicode[STIX]{x1D6EC}$) in the small-disturbance limit. The resulting response to external forcing is surprisingly rich and studied in detail for the canonical problem of two-dimensional flow past compression/expansion ramps.

This paper focuses on unsteady, two-dimensional, flow boundary layer of a incompressible viscous electrically conducting and absorbing heat fluid along a semi-infinite vertical moving permeable plate in the presence of Chemical reaction and radiation effects. The dimensionless equations are analytically solved using perturbation procedure. The effects of the different flow fluid parameters on velocity, temperature and concentration fields with in the boundary layer have been examined with the help of graphs.

Abstract An exact solution of an unsteady radiative flow past a uniformly accelerated infinite vertical plate with variable temperature and mass diffusion is presented here, taking into account the homogeneous chemical reaction of first order. The plate temperature as well as concentration near the plate is raised linearly with time. The dimensionless governing equations are solved using the Laplace-transform technique. The velocity, temperature and concentration fields are studied for different physical parameters such as the thermal Grashof number, mass Grashof number, Schmidt number, Prandtl number, radiation parameter, chemical reaction parameter and time. It is observed that the velocity increases with increasing values of the thermal Grashof number or mass Grashof number. But the trend is just reversed with respect to the thermal radiation parameter. It is also observed that the velocity increases with the decreasing chemical reaction parameter
