<p><em>The purpose of this research is to know the description of Quality of Work Life and Employee Motivation in UPBJJ-UT Pangkalpinang, and its influence is partially and simultaneously so that it can get information to increase motivation which will improve the quality of organizational performance. The research method used is descriptive quantitative approach with cross sectional design. The sample in this study amounted to 30 samples. The type of data used is the primary data. Data analysis technique using multiple linear regression test. The results showed that (1) The overall variables had a high average value that is in the category of 3.41-4.20 and the variable of pride to the institution had the highest average value of 4.21%. Thus the majority of respondents feel proud of the institution while working at UPBJJ-UT Pangkalpinang. In general, there are seven variables that have positive and significant influence and four variables that have positive but not significant influence. Variables that have positive and significant impacts are available facilities, workplace safety, employee engagement, communication, security, a sense of pride in institutions and work restructuring. While the variables that have positive but not significant are balanced compensation, career development, problem solving and work environment (3) Simultaneously the Quality of Work Life variable has a positive and significant influence on work motivation. This means that any increase or decrease in Quality of Work Life together will give a significant influence on employee motivation in UPBJJ-UT Pangkalpinang.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>Keywords: Quality of Work Life, Work Motivation, and Employee Motivation</em></p>

Within every matter relating to management, organizational performance is the vital instrument in assessing organizational financial and non-financial results, also a technique to compose evaluation with competitors. Performance is the most significant measure in evaluating organizations and their achievements. Hence, the significant contribution of the current study is developing a model which undertaken on examining the impact of quality of work life (QWL) on organizational performance (by using Balanced Scorecards particulary).The current study adopted the descriptive analytical method; it was applied in private Jordanian universities (located in Amman). This study used equal stratified random sample. For primary data, questionnaire was used; so 140 questionnaires were distributed to (140) managers. The questionnaire composed of (24) items of close ended statements. Collected data was analyzed by using different statistical techniques such as descriptive statistics, and multiple regression through the SPSS.This study found that there was a significant statistical impact of Quality of Work-Life (QWL) on Organizational Performance in the Private Jordanian Universities at level (a£ 0.05). The researchers recommend modifying the managerial dimension to get greater effect from Quality of work life on performance, therefore; spending more time and effort on developing, training, motivation through empowerment is essential for all workers.

Quality of work life is becoming an imperative issue to achieve the goals of the organization in every sector whether it is education, tourism, service sector, manufacturing, banking sector and other. Quality of work life it about work environment, reward, organizational commitment, recognition, participative management, work life balance, welfare facilities, proper grievances handling, job satisfaction and other. High quality of work life can give a result in better organizational performance, effectiveness and innovativeness. Quality of work life also affects the social responsibility. This is because quality of work life can improves the family life as well as work life of the individual. Performance is the work result in quality and quantity achieved by employees in carrying out their duties in accordance with the responsibilities assigned to them. The role of reliable and professional employees is very helpful in improving organizational performance. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Work Engagement and Quality of Work Life with the Performance of Nurses in Inpatient Services in Makassar City Hospital. This type of research is a quantitative study using an observational study with a cross-sectional study design. Sampling using stratified random sampling so that the sample in this study were nurses in the inpatient installation of Makassar City Hospital, totaling 167 respondents. The results showed that there is a relationship between Work Engagement based on the Vigor dimension, the Dedication dimension, the absorption dimension, and the nurse's performance. There is a relationship between Quality of Work Life and the performance of nurses in Makassar City Hospital. It is recommended that hospital management keep paying attention to work engagement, especially the Vigor dimension in order to increase the morale of nurses. Leaders need to know what their employees need so that employees can work according to organizational expectations, one of which is by providing motivation. implementing a culture of health in the work environment so as to create a safe working atmosphere, developing career path plans for nurses, and internalizing the values of good work culture to maintain a sense of pride in the institution.

The quality of work life, whether in the public or private institution, aims to promote well-being for employees, so that they can perform their activities satisfied and motivated, thus contributing to an excellent organizational performance. This study is a review of the literature on the quality of life at work, in which approaches and applications were sought from public servants, especially from Higher Education Institutions. For that, bibliographic research was carried out, with an exploratory and descriptive character, with a qualitative approach and deductive method. The collection of data in front of the compiled and localized scientific works focused on the identification of existing models, among which Walton was considered the most adequate and therefore, with higher utility for the future study of deepening in an application with public servants of Higher education institutions. This model includes a structured questionnaire with eight criteria: social relevance of work life, use of skills, working conditions, social integration in the organization, work, and total living space and constitutionalism, fair and adequate compensation and opportunity for growth. It is understood that new research applied in this sense, help the managers of the HEIs studied in the decision making aimed at promoting improvements to the Quality of Life at Work.
