Acid rain and greenhouse effect are the major air pollution problems in China, and the goals for the total emission control of NOx and total energy consumption control begin to move forward in the 12th five-year plan. NOx emission reduction and energy saving of coal-fired power plants are still put in a strategic position. Accordingly, it is of great significance to carry out power planning work, considering effect of NOx emission index and energy saving on power industry. In this study, a mixed 0-1 integer linear power generation expansion model based on total emission control of NOx and low carbon economy effect is developed for the first time, which can be used for studying the change of power structure, confirming the releasing emissions of NOx from power system for development and reducing energy consumption by total amount control of power coal consumption and CO2 emission growth rate. The model is applied to the power system in Heilongjiang province and the results indicate that the proposed model not only can meet the requirement of power generation expansion management, but also can help the power industry clear the economic impact of NOx emission reduction on self-development and achieve the energy saving target.

The paper which based on the idea of “low carbon economy” scanned the wood carbon storage function and analyzed the wood carbon storage from the present research situation of home and abroad. And it put forward the research content and specific research methods of the wood carbon storage. Finally it summarized the expected achievement and development trend of studying the wood carbon storage under the construction of low carbon economy. The research will have the practical directive function about realizing the energy saving and emission reduction of carbon dioxide, transforming the mode of economic development and improving the wood’s carbon storage.

With the continuous expansion scale of carbon market and the development of carbon trading mechanism, carbon emission right, as a new financial asset, is being brought into the category of asset allocation by more and more investors. As the burning of coal is the major source of carbon dioxide, China is facing serious ecological and environmental problems, which restrict the development of low-carbon economy. In order to reach the carbon dioxide emission reduction targets and promote the development of green investment market, the carbon market should be a good emission reduction measure. The correlation and dynamic volatility spillover among coal, carbon, and green investing markets are becoming a hot topic for current research. The paper applies both VAR-GARCH-DCC and VAR-GARCH-BEKK models to draw some significant conclusions. (1) The green investment market, coal market, and Shenzhen carbon market show obvious time-varying correlation, and the volatility of the green investment market is higher. (2) There is a bidirectional Granger causality between green investing and coal markets. (3) The investment portfolio and hedging mechanism of the market are established to reduce the risk and help investors obtain higher returns.

The depletion of fossil fuels and climate change concerns are drivers for the development and expansion of bioenergy. Promoting biomass is vital to move civilization toward a low-carbon economy. To meet European Union targets, it is required to increase the use of agricultural residues (including straw) for power generation. Using agricultural residues without accounting for their energy consumed and carbon dioxide emissions distorts the energy and environmental balance, and their analysis is the purpose of this study. In this paper, a life cycle analysis method is applied. The allocation of carbon dioxide emissions and energy inputs in the crop production by allocating between a product (grain) and a byproduct (straw) is modeled. Selected crop yield and the residue-to-crop ratio impact on the above indicators are investigated. We reveal that straw formation can consume between 30% and 70% of the total energy inputs and, therefore, emits relative carbon dioxide emissions. For cereal crops, this energy can be up to 40% of the lower heating value of straw. Energy and environmental indicators of a straw return-to-field technology and straw power generation systems are examined.

The low-carbon economy becomes a hot issue in every country after Copenhagen’s meeting, and Logistics enterprise is an important economic entity to achieve a low carbon economy, so how to effectively evaluate the effect of logistics enterprises and low-carbon benefits of emission reduction become a problem that really needed to solve. Therefore, it evaluated the effects of low-carbon benefits of logistics respectively from the economic benefits, logistics operational efficiency and CO2 emission reduction by AHP. Based on it, logistics enterprise evaluation model of low-carbon benefits was built in the way of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, and finally verified the effectiveness of the evaluation system with a case.

Due to the increase in global carbon dioxide emissions, climate change, rising sea levels and other issues have become increasingly prominent. In the three major industries, industrial emissions of carbon dioxide accounted for the largest proportion of the total emissions. Developing a low-carbon economy, especially with regard to industrial low-carbon economy, has become the only way for Chinese society to achieve sustainable development. Building a scientific evaluation system of a low-carbon economy is an essential way to assess the level of regional industrial low-carbon economy comprehensively and correctly. In this paper, we establish the Hebei low-carbon economy Evaluation System based on DSR model, according to the industrial carbon economic development in Hebei Province, using factor analysis to obtain the main factors affecting the low-carbon economy in Hebei Province, establishing extended model, then propose measures for Hebei industrial low-carbon economic development.
