Abstract Infrared spectra of vulcanized rubbers compounded with fillers were studied on thin sections of samples made by a low temperature microtome technique. By this method, identification of fillers as well as rubbers is possible. The infrared absorption spectra of rubbers compounded with several types of fillers are described.
