<p>The $ r $-Lah numbers generalize the Lah numbers to the $ r $-Stirling numbers in the same sense. The Stirling numbers and the central factorial numbers are one of the important tools in enumerative combinatorics. The $ r $-Lah number counts the number of partitions of a set with $ n+r $ elements into $ k+r $ ordered blocks such that $ r $ distinguished elements have to be in distinct ordered blocks. In this paper, the $ r $-central Lah numbers and the $ r $-central Lah-Bell numbers ($ r\in \mathbb{N} $) are introduced parallel to the $ r $-extended central factorial numbers of the second kind and $ r $-extended central Bell polynomials. In addition, some identities related to these numbers including the generating functions, explicit formulas, binomial convolutions are derived. Moreover, the $ r $-central Lah numbers and the $ r $-central Lah-Bell numbers are shown to be represented by Riemann integral, respectively.</p>

In this paper, we study the ( 3 + 1 )-dimensional variable-coefficient nonlinear wave equation which is taken in soliton theory and generated by utilizing the Hirota bilinear technique. We obtain some new exact analytical solutions, containing interaction between a lump-two kink solitons, interaction between two lumps, and interaction between two lumps-soliton, lump-periodic, and lump-three kink solutions for the generalized ( 3 + 1 )-dimensional nonlinear wave equation in liquid with gas bubbles by the Maple symbolic package. Making use of Hirota’s bilinear scheme, we obtain its general soliton solutions in terms of bilinear form equation to the considered model which can be obtained by multidimensional binary Bell polynomials. Furthermore, we analyze typical dynamics of the high-order soliton solutions to show the regularity of solutions and also illustrate their behavior graphically.

In this paper, we perform a further investigation for the Catalan numbers. By making use of the method of derivatives and some properties of the Bell polynomials, we establish two new expressions for sums of products of arbitrary number of the Catalan numbers. The results presented here can be regarded as the development of some known formulas.

AbstractIn this paper, we introduce poly-central factorial sequences and poly-central Bell polynomials arising from the polyexponential functions, reducing them to central factorials and central Bell polynomials of the second kind respectively when $k = 1$ k = 1 . We also show some relations: between poly-central factorial sequences and power of x; between poly-central Bell polynomials and power of x; between poly-central Bell polynomials and the poly-Bell polynomials; between poly-central Bell polynomials and higher order type 2 Bernoulli polynomials of second kind; recurrence formula of poly-central Bell polynomials.

By means of the Lagrange expansion formula, we establish a general pair of nonlinear inverse series relations, which are expressed via partial Bell polynomials with the connection coefficients involve an arbitrary formal power series. As applications, two examples are presented with one of them recovering the difficult theorems discovered recently by Birmajer, Gil and Weiner (2012 and 2019).

The aim of this paper is to study the degenerate Bell numbers and polynomials which are degenerate versions of the Bell numbers and polynomials. We derive some new identities and properties of those numbers and polynomials that are associated with the degenerate Stirling numbers of both kinds.

Abstract In the paper, by means of the Faa di Bruno formula, with the help of explicit formulas for special values of the Bell polynomials of the second kind with respect to a specific sequence, and by virtue of two combinatorial identities containing the Stirling numbers of the first kind, the author establishes Maclaurin's series expansions for real powers of the inverse cosine (sine) function and the inverse hyperbolic cosine (sine) function. By applying different series expansions for the square of the inverse cosine function, the author not only finds infinite series representations of the circular constant Pi and its square, but also derives two combinatorial identities involving central binomial coefficients.
