This article explores the use of sound, lyrics, and performance as tools for spatial reorientation and reimagining, identity formation and affirmation, and counternarrative or counterarchive in a rapidly gentrifying contemporary Detroit, Michigan. Two discrete, yet discursively linked case studies are presented—performances by the same artist in two different spaces—that exhibit various modes of “flipping,” slang that can refer to multiple transformative practices in contemporary Detroit. These practices include the use of overdetermined spaces, or spaces that have been declared abandoned or vacant, for something other than their original intent—i.e. using a decommissioned automobile plant as a music video set; sampling, which can be understood as using sonic components from previously recorded songs in the creation of new hip-hop beats; buying homes in a state of disrepair, fixing and reselling them at large profits; and inverting meaning itself, via slang or coded language. Additionally Black techniques of sounding and performance are illuminated, with a focus on echo as a mode of co-creation. These various practices are all responses to the growing wave of gentrification that gains momentum in the city daily. The analysis draws primarily from ethnographic research conducted from 2016 to 2018, culling data from participant observation, recorded interviews, informal conversations, field notes, lyrical and video analysis, and the analysis of mediated accounts, both print and online. As the analysis shows, the strategies utilized by artists in Detroit ensure that no matter how much the spaces in Detroit continue to change, and no matter how much an attempt is made to provide racially curated space through various forms of violence, you’re only ever a block from the ‘hood.

The automotive industry is one of the most important sectors of the world economy, which also belongs to the most capital-intensive areas of the world economy. Globally, the production of automobiles and components employs about 9 million people, who assemble 67 million vehicles each year, contributing 15% of the world's GDP. In addition, everyone employed at the automobile plant provides jobs for 14 more people in related industries. The automotive industry uses more than 15% of the global production of steel and aluminum, more than 10% of the copper smelter in the world. The industry is also the leading consumer of lead, synthetic and natural rubber (50%, 35% and 75% of global production, respectively). In addition, cars in service use half of the world's oil. Consumers spend up to 15% of their budget on cars every year. At the same time, there is a tendency for most of these indicators to grow.

In this article, design of failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) is a structured qualities analysis of the system, subsystem and components/functions that highlights impending failures modes of which their cause and effects of a failure on system operation. Few years ago, many industries are forced to use design of failure modes and effect analysis (DFMEA) technique to physically powerful their product design and manufacturing process due to the global competitive market. DFMEA is agreed out systematically by brainstorming. The aim of this paper is to in attendance a new approach for evaluation of RPN and failure modes to augment the utility of the traditional DFMEA technique. At the closing stages, the statistical method of the factor analysis was used to confirm the effectiveness. Keywords: DFMEA; Failure modes and Factor Analysis; Risk Priority Number (RPN)

The article is devoted to forming skills and practically mastered experience in optimizing various losses regarded as the basis of lean production technologies. The formation of skills is carried out within the framework of a workshop when training a future teacher of School Technology, a master of vocational training of a college. The foundations of lean manufacturing technologies are created there. During the experimental work carried out on the basis of Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant and the vocational-polytechnic college, a methodology for the practical developmentof the basics of lean production was developed and successfully tested, which was subsequently used during the workshop of the pedagogical university, as well as during technology lessons in secondary schools.
