Abstract In the article, the analytical dependences of modelling the cell cross-sectional area between two adjacent blades of a rotary blade pump and capacity for a pump with fixed and rotating stators are given, and analytical dependences are derived to model the power necessary to overcome the friction forces of the blades. The forces acting on the radially placed blade of a rotary pump with a fixed stator (non-rotating or stationary) and a rotating stator are analyzed. Design and technological parameters that influence the pump capacity and power are taken into account. The power required for the movement of the pump blade without taking into account the compression of the air has the opposite character of the change as to the pump capacity The capacity of a rotary pump with a rotating stator is three times higher than that of a stationary stator. The rotary pump with a rotating stator, with six radially spaced blades, consumes 0.854 [kW] less power to overcome the blade friction of 1 313 [kW]. The results of modelling of the pump work are given.

The article considers the operation of a three-bladed rotary pump, the blade profile of which consists of several conjugate circles. It is shown that the size of the gap between the rotors is an important pa-rameter that affects the quality of pumps. When designing using CAD systems, it is possible to identify gross errors, for example, the intersection of surfaces, to determine the amount of gap between the rotors at a fixed position of the mechanism. However, it is not possible to determine the size of the gap in the dynamics of the given software, it is necessary to develop a digital model of the mechanism. The model of interaction of two rotors considered in the article, implemented in the Mathcad program, allows determining the size and nature of the gap change during the operation of the mechanism.

The article solves problem of synthesizing a lever-cam motion transducer that converts rotary motion of input shaft of a rotary pump into motion of its vanes required for volumetric pumping of gases and liquids. Analytical expressions for theoretical profile of cam of lever-cam transducer of the movement of rotary vane pump are obtained. The cam profile was built according to analytical expressions.

The investigation purpose is life increase of clutch couplings in rotary pump units by means of designing an advanced clutch coupling. For that there were defined the reasons of failure and short life of an elastic sleeve-pin clutch for joining a rotary pump and electromotor. As a result of industrial tests of a rotary pump unit there were revealed the following factors decreasing life and hence equipment reliability: a wrong alignment with the pump; half-coupling imbalance (pin wear, non-coaxiality (misalignment) of holes for pins or half-coupling misalignment); bearing unit gaps (bearing defects); pump and electromotor rotor balancing; mounts and abutments of a frame base. For elimination of drawbacks revealed there was developed an updated design of an elastic sleeve-pin clutch for the rotary pump of 200D90 type having no counterparts in Russia. During the investigation there were carried out industrial tests at PC “Samotlorneftegas”. Due to the updated design offered the clutch ensures life increase and a more reliable working capacity in the course of operation.
