This article discusses Freud’s presentation on telepathy to his close colleagues at the meeting in the Harz mountains in 1921. It considers the fate of his paper and the reasons why he never published it as a single piece. The development of Freud’s ideas about telepathy during the succeeding years and the reasons that prompted him finally to publish his views on thought-transference in 1925 are also considered. The article also discusses the place of the four cases presented in his writings on telepathy over this period, culminating in his new ‘lecture’ on Dreams and Occultism in 1933. It is suggested that Freud’s persuasion that psychoanalysis could credibly account for thought-transference was in part affected by the degree of trust he held in those presenting him with material, but most of all by his own personal experience. Freud held out against opposition from people like Jones on the matter of the worthiness of the subject for investigation, but never succeeded in integrating it more fully into psychoanalysis, and this position is largely unchanged today.

To ensure that the process of giftedness development runs smoothly, it is necessary to build adequate socio-emotional competencies related to the ability to use various social and emotional stimulation from the environment to achieve results that enable satisfactory and competent participation in groups, communities, and society to which individual belongs. The goal of this research was to examine whether and to what extent are socio-emotional competencies of parents and Kindergarten teachers are significant predictors of the perception of talents of preschool children. The sample consisted out of 100 participants from Zeničko-Dobojski kanton, 75 parents, and 25 educators. As instruments, we used: Questionnaire of general sociodemographic data (SD questionnaire), Giftedness Questionnaire (Von Krafft and Semke, 2008), and questionnaire of socioemotional competencies of educators (Jusufovic, unpublished paper). The results indicate that among all socio-emotional competencies of parents the only that is significant predictor is awareness of others for assessing the expression of one’s characteristics, for assessing the expression of talent and out of socio-demographic variables, the variable of age parents is significant, but only for assessing the expression of talents (older parents perceive less giftedness). Furthermore, in the case of educators, pure non-violent communication is important for socio-emotional competencies for the expression of one’s characteristics, then for the expression of talents significant factors are non-violent communication, awareness of others, emotion regulation, self-esteem, and the total score of socio-emotional competencies. Among socio-demographic characteristics, the important predictor is working experience for perceiving talents. In addition to this, there are statistically significant differences between parents and educators, in an expression of talent, and the results show that educators are better in the estimation of expression of talents.

This paper considers the activities of the supervisor of the Kerch Museum of Antiquities S. P. Petrenko basing on documents of the Imperial Archaeological Commission from the collection of the Scientific Archives of the Institute for the History of Material Culture (IHMC) RAS. Petrenko had been working in this position for 27 years and participated in excavations of many sites significant for Russian archaeology in the late 19th — early 20th century. Here the unpublished paper by N. I. Repnikov devoted to the contribution of S. P. Petrenko to archaeology is first completely presented.

This Festschrift volume contains a series of specially commissioned papers by leading philosophers on themes from the philosophy of Crispin Wright and a previously unpublished paper by George Boolos, together with a substantial set of replies by Wright. Section I consists of five essays on Wright’s Neo-Fregean approach in the philosophy of mathematics, Section II consists of two essays on Wright’s work on vagueness, intuitionism and the Sorites Paradox, Section III contains two essays on logical revisionism, and Section IV consists of a single essay on the epistemology of metaphysical possibility. The volume also contains a full bibliography of Wright’s philosophical publications.

This comparative international case study of cyber warfare provides a context for considering the evolution of cyber technologies as elements of hybrid warfare capable of creating confusion, disrupting communications, and impacting physical infrastructure (such as power grids and satellite-based communications and weapons systems). Expanding an unpublished paper recognized by the ASIS Foundation in its 2012 international student writing competition concerning global security, which compared the cyberattacks against Estonia in 2007 and the United States in 2012, this study re-examines and updates the original data in a broader analysis that primarily includes the cyberattacks against Ukraine during the 2013-2015 conflict, but also considers other incidents on the timeline of digitization. The study shows how cyber warfare, first reported in the 1990s, has become an integral component of war today for both state and non-state actors who use zombies and robot armies to penetrate national boundaries and firewalls via satellites.

The significance of chemical reaction is inevitable and there exist many kinds in real life. Recently, the concept of quartic autocatalytic kind of chemical reaction was appraised (Refs. [10] – [16]). It is worth remarking that the concept had been wrongly used in a recently published paper. To avoid confusion, this unpublished paper is presented for clarification. In the report “entropy optimization and quartic autocatalysis in MHD chemically reactive stagnation point flow of Sisko nanomaterial, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer 127, 829 – 837”, the author investigated cubic autocatalytic kind of chemical reaction between non-Newtonian Sisko fluid and two molecules of catalyst situated at the surface. However, in three different places including the title, the author claimed that the reaction is quartic autocatalysis.
This previously unpublished paper seeks to demonstrate that two twelfth-century manuscripts of the Major Declamations, Montpellier 226 and Paris, lat. 1618, are not, as had hitherto been supposed, independent primary witnesses to the text, but descend from an earlier extant manuscript, Bamberg, Class. 44. This manuscript has gaps at certain points where the rubricator did not complete his task; in these places the Montpellier and Paris manuscripts show either lacunae or words that can be argued to be late confections. The paper goes on to suggest, more tentatively, that the second branch of the tradition, here called Φ‎, is only superior to the lost parent of the Bambergensis and Leiden, Voss. lat. Q. 111 because its own lost ancestor had been subject to medieval conjecture. The paper ends by providing a sample of the kind of simplified apparatus criticus that could be constructed if this new approach is accepted.
