High-power all-solid-state single-frequency continuous-wave (CW) lasers have been applied in basic research such as atomic physics, precision measurement, radar and laser guidance, as well as defense and military fields owing to their intrinsic advantages of high beam quality, low noise, narrow linewidth, and high coherence. With the rapid developments of sciences and technologies, the traditional single-frequency lasers cannot meet the development needs of emerging science and technology such as quantum technology, quantum measurement and quantum optics. After long-term efforts and technical research, a novel theory and technology was proposed and developed for improving the whole performance of high-power all-solid-state single-frequency CW lasers, which was implemented by actively introducing a nonlinear optical loss and controlling the stimulated emission rate (SER) in the laser resonator. As a result, the output power, power and frequency stabilities, tuning range and intensity noise of the single-frequency lasers were effectively enhanced.

Abstract Laser guidance is a continuous process, during which a lot of operational data and corresponding changes are generated. Aiming at the live-fire drill shooting training and assessment evaluation of a certain type of laser-guided missile, this paper analyzes the principle of laser guidance, studies the weighting system of the information field based on the importance of characteristic intervals, integrates and processes the data and outputs the aiming effect picture and sheet, and constructs the aiming and tracking ability evaluation model. Stationary targets and moving targets are tested respectively, and the verification model can realize the calculation of laser information field, the integration of coordinate data, the output of aiming effect diagram, and the evaluation of the shooter’s aiming and tracking ability expressed in a percentage system. The model realizes data collection, integration and processing based on MATLAB software, and builds graph and table output ports, which can realize low delay processing of a large amount of short-term data.

In the text of this scientific research we pointed out the natural correlation between the phenomenon of undertaking manipulative actions on financial and accounting reports by corporations, in circumstances of intensification, acceleration, as well as multiplication of fiscal pressure by the representatives of the management at the macroeconomic level. Also, with explications and scientific conclusions, we pointed out the destabilizing moments of consistent implementation of the principles of corporate governance, particularly in the circumstances of actual resorting to the use of different techniques of financial malversations by corporations or microeconomic entities as well as by individual households, because, in the etymological sense, they are also accepted as microeconomic subjects. At the same time, with the technique of optical laser guidance, we marked economic barriers and in the constellation of the subject matter without tendentious finger-pointing at individuals. Exclusively, using the technique of criticizing the contaminated state, the detection of neuralgic points of inhibition of optimal economic flows was performed, analysed through the prism of the need to respect the principles of corporate management.

The article presents the results of theoretical and experimental studies of destructive effects on the main channels of various types of semi-active laser homing heads of high-precision ammunition. Recommendations concerning characteristics of promising intended interference were confirmed experimentally. They make it possible to determine new methods of influence on laser guidance systems for high-precision ammunition and to expand the capabilities of electronic warfare devices when protecting stationary objects

A prototype of a relatively cheap laser-based weeding device was developed and tested on couch grass (Elytrigia repens (L.) Desv. ex Nevski) mixed with tomatoes. Three types of laser were used (0.3 W, 1 W, and 5 W). A neural network was trained to identify the weed plants, and a laser guidance system estimated the coordinates of the weed. An algorithm was developed to estimate the energy necessary to harm the weed plants. We also developed a decision model for the weed control device. The energy required to damage a plant depended on the diameter of the plant which was related to plant length. The 1 W laser was not sufficient to eliminate all weed plants and required too long exposure time. The 5 W laser was more efficient but also harmed the crop if the laser beam became split into two during the weeding process. There were several challenges with the device, which needs to be improved upon. In particular, the time of exposure needs to be reduced significantly. Still, the research showed that it is possible to develop a concept for laser weeding using relatively cheap equipment, which can work in complicated situations where weeds and crop are mixed.

With the development of science and technology, precision-strike weapons are been considered to be important for winning victory and defending the country during war (or) attack. Laser guidance is one of the major methods to execute precision-strike in modern warfare. At present, the problems faced at the primary stage of Laser guidance has been solved with endeavors of countries. Several technical aspects of laser-beam riding guided system have been mature, such as atmosphere penetration of laser beam, clutter inhibition on ground, laser irradiator, encoding and decoding of laser beam. Further, laser beam quality, equal output power and atmospheric transmission properties are qualified for warfare situation. Riding guidance instrument is a crucial element of Laser-beam riding guided system and also in Radar-beam riding guiding system, and is also a essential element of airborne, vehicle-mounted and individual weapon. The optical system mainly consists of sighting module and laser-beam guided module. Photo detector (Quadrant detector) is the most important sensing device, and also the key to acquire the coordinate information of target space. Currently, in consideration of the 1064 nm of wavelength applied in all the semi-active laser guided weapons systems, lithium drifting silicon photodiode which is sensitive to 1064 nm of wavelength is used in photoelectric detector. Compared to Solid and gas laser, diode laser has many merits such as small volume, simple construction, light weight, long life, low cost and easy modulation.  The present work includes the study of Various ATGM, their guidance mechanism, particularly laser beam rider guidance. Study has been carried to understand the composition and operating principle of Laser-beam riding guided system. The present work also deals with prototype development of quadrant estimation unit required for Laser beam rider guidance.
