Abstract It is shown that the image contrast in the air when using a microscope based on dielectric microparticles with a size of the order of wavelength can be significantly enhanced with the help microparticles that provide the formation of the radiation localisation region at an angle to the direction of radiation incidence (at an angle to the optical axis). For this purpose, a screen is placed in front of the particle, which blocks part of the incident beam, forming a photonic hook or a photonic jet (terajet) with oblique illumination in the near field.

Kata kunci: Iluminasi, Naskah Jawa Kuno, Ornamen, Revitalisasi AbstractOne form of art that most interesting from the classic visual culture of the archipelago is the art of decorating in the form of illumination design that can be found in ancient manuscripts spread throughout the archipelago. In Central Java, the illumination design can be found in the collection of ancient Javanese manuscripts that are stored in the library of Mangkunegaran palace and the library of the Radya Pustaka Surakarta museum. However the beauty and uniqueness of the illumination designs that exist on the ancient Javanese manuscripts are only stored in the library and museum, so it can not be used In addition to providing a research object and educational purpose. These study aims are 1) To Inventory and identify the design illumination of the ancient Javanese manuscript as a visual form. 2) Revitalize the illumination designs that are stored in the ancient Javanese manuscript into a digital vector form so that it can be used easier and broader. This study used qualitative methods that explain the problem through the collection of data from various sources appointed. Keywords: Illumination, Javanese Old Manuscript, Ornament, Revitalization

Abstract In illumination optics, color mixing is a key design task, but the realization can be a challenge. While tunable light sources based on multiple LEDs are commonplace, color homogenization is just as important for white LEDs, due to their spatial and angular color variation. In this tutorial, we first look at color mixing from an abstract, phase space-based viewpoint. From there, we derive a taxonomy of color mixing problems: How is the multi-color light source composed? What kind of homogeneity is required in the target? How is the homogenization influenced by source and target étendue? We categorize these problems and we present a toolbox: A selection of optical design elements, e.g. mixing rods and fly’s eye arrays, and we show for each design pattern how it fits into the taxonomy.
