The introductory part of this paper offers an overview of approaches to the management of marine fresh water generator and points out the most important factors influencing the processes. The second part deals with operation time and total overhaul time both influenced by evaporation intensity. Comparison and simple calculation are made of several distinct modes of operation assuming days in voyage and hours necessary for overhaul. Next section gives a thermal analysis of the processes, resulting in energy balance equation that could be used as a base for the optimal control system for one single-stage unit. In fact, the suggested control system is based on the energy balance equation that is given in this section. In the fourth part the analysis of the most important operational values is made. The changes recorded on the six-channel plotter are used to evaluate the suggested control system. The paper gives an example of optimal control system for the single stage fresh water generator and suggests further research.

The paper analyzes the methods of starting an asynchronous motor with a phase rotor. The control system used on the object under consideration, the mechanism of cargo movement, is obsolete. Current problems in modern production are measures aimed at energy saving at all stages of production, as well as ensuring the necessary dynamic indicators of control systems. In this paper, several control systems for the mechanism of cargo movement are considered and investigated. The optimal control system for several indicators is proposed. The Matlab Simulink package simulates various start-up methods, namely: direct start-up from the network, rheostatic start-up of an asynchronous motor with a phase rotor, pulse start-up of an asynchronous motor with a phase rotor, asynchronous-valve stage and asynchronous-valve stage with pulse regulation. According to the obtained graphs, a comparison is made and conclusions are drawn about the advantages and disadvantages of each of the start-up methods, as well as graphs of the consumption of active and reactive energy of each of the methods and the most energy-efficient control method is identified.

A new approach is considered to solving the problem of synthesizing an optimal control system based on the extremals' set approximation. At the first stage, the optimal control problem for various initial states out of a given domain is being numerically sold. Evolutionary algorithms are used to solve the optimal control problem numerically. At the second stage, the problem of approximating the found set of extremals by the method of symbolic regression is solved. Approach considered in the work makes it possible to eliminate the main drawback of the known approach to solving the control synthesis problem using the symbolic regression method, which consists in the fact that the genetic algorithm used in solving the synthesis problem does not provide information about proximity of the found solution to the optimal one. Here, control function is built on the basis of a set of extremals; therefore, any particular solution should be close to the optimal trajectory. Computational experiment is presented for solving the applied problem of synthesizing the four-wheel robot optimal control system in the presence of phase constraints. It is experimentally demonstrated that the synthesized control function makes it possible for any initial state from a given domain to obtain trajectories close to optimal in the quality functional. Initial states were considered during the experiment, both included in the approximating set of optimal trajectories and others from the same given domain. Approximation of the extremals set was carried out by the network operator method
